look at you all here, baggin our president for walking 100kms to raise money for starving children... he acctually played a key role in organising the event...

shame on you all for such a selfless act of disrespect...

this is hopefully the last thing to add to this thread... I really dislike people commenting on/ridiculing the stereotype of the fanbase of another club* when we are constantly complaining about how we are stereotyped... I would have thought that the stereotype of MFC fans isn't actually that far from the stereotype of SFC fans so we would actually feel some sort of empathy! it is less than a week since people were calling an article (from the canberra times) that brought up the old sydney stereotypes as a disgrace to journalism.

      * unless that other club is collingwood of course. then any negative stereotype is both funny and true (regardless of whether it is based in fact or not).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I did the Oxfam trailwalk last year myself and can attest to how tough it is physically and mentally. You've got to put a stack of training in and there's no way I'd not do to watch a footy match either. He's the president, not a player or coach!

I was reading some posts on other threads and thinking how nice it was not have civil supporters visit us, and then I opened this thread and the Collingwood Telstra match flew out and smacked me in the face again.

This is the one reason I do not post on other teams sites.

I agree though, we can't bitch and moan about being cast typed and then turn around and do it to others (I like the collingwood exemption rule though Stellation )

And if you visit a Swans members site, you have to expect some jibes when you go and stick your head out and have a go at a comment justly posted by long term passionate member.

I enjoy the friendly banter. It builds anticipation for the big game. Just reading this thread has got me all fired up and there's still three days to go!!

Maybe I'm wrong, but from my recollections, Sydney-Melbourne is not such a big rivalry.

We nearly pinched Greg Healy and they responded by giving him the B&F.

But we havent really played any big games of note against them.
We played a final in 87 and the next time before that we played in a final was 1936.

I guess after Essendon, Carlton, Richmond and Collingwood; the Dees are always going to be in the shadows which is a shame because they are a great club.

I would have thought that was fairly apparent, but obviously not...

MWbloods, are you sure it is obvious???

Only just changed the blurb below my name.....every year I have been on this site I have been taken for a male........As I walk upon this this earth my male part is as strong as my female part. Jung would have called it a form of integration.

                          And am "blooded" in footy.

Maybe I should use different words? Pity it's not possible

Well, I thought the "Louellyn" was a fairly strong pointer.

Although the "crikey by jingo" may have thrown some off!!

I thought it was only Collingwood supporters who couldn't spell?
