Strange - Bart said he thought Saddo was a genuine option up forward and BRB said he didn't think he was as he's only played one game up forward.

What part didn't Bart say?

FWIW - I agree with BRB that Saddo hasn't shown himself to be a "genuine option up forward" yet and a quasi-replacement for O'Loughlin which is implied in the comments.

Then BRB quotes him and say's 'he is not a genuine forward'. Where did the 'option' word disappear to? Makes a fair bir of difference to Barts meaning.

And it doesn't matter anyway, BRB wasn't talking about those comments. BRB quoted those comments, but was actually talking about Barts other comments. Didn't you read the retraction.

Whether including the option or not, I still don't think it makes a huge difference - at this stage Saddo hasn't shown himself to be either a genuine option or a genuine forward. That's not to say he can't (for all those about to jump in) - just a simple statement that it was only one game. [BTW - I get the difference - I think he can be a genuine option but not a genuine forward.]

I did read BRB's retraction and didn't really understand why. He was obviously referring to Saddo (hence why you commented) and then said he wasn't. I don't know whether his omission of 'option' was a mistake or deliberate - I assumed he was simply being frugal with words, but maybe not.

That's exactly how I read it. How can u possibly interpret it any other way?
I agree with BRB too (whom I think is a girl btw nmw). However, I'd like to see saddo given a few more full games down there in the forward line

Spot on. Semantics maybe. but genuine "option" is very different to genuine "forward"

Simply put, I don't think he's shown himself to be a genuine option or a genuine forward at this stage.

I assumed BRB meant the same thing - possibly BRB didn't, but I don't know why BRB elected not to say which and instead retracted the comment.
