Bring your umbrellas , raincoats ...

We are in for one dog of a day in Melbourne - cold - heavy rain - wind - gonna be shocker...

My first game in which I am part of the Cheer squad too - I might have sit under shelter! Instead in the cheer squad as I am carrying a slight cold.

Does this favour us or hinder us I wonder in terms of the game play ?

I thought umbrellas weren't allowed at the G?
    Perhaps ponchos instead?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Most Essendon supporters will tell you they can't play in wet.

Nothing to do with playing away from Telstra Dome. They have been saying that for 40 years that I can remember.

Correctamundo. And rightly so. When they had umbrellas you might have well stayed at home because no one could see a bloody thing. What's wrong with a bit of water.

Back in the good old days of suburban grounds if you didn't get drenched then you were'nt at the footy. Too many soft supporters today. What would they do if the ice age returned.

Simple - if the ice age returned there would be no football fullstop.

          Problem solved!

They would then be playing in Telstra Dome igloos.

With that forecast imagine the high standard of the Hawks/Tigers match if it was played at the G.

True story. Friend of mine who is a Hawks supporter (poor bastard) went to buy tickets today for the Hawks/Tiges game on Friday.

Would you believe the bird at Ticketmaster laughed at him. "You don't want to buy tickets for that game do you. Well if you insist (chuckle)".

I had a very big belly laugh at his expense.

This blokes name is Craig Stevens so he is getting the Thorpy/Stevens jibes on top the Hawthorn and Nick Holland over the hill jibes. Not a happy camper right now. What else does a Hawthorn supporter deserve.

Great, our first game in Melbourne in over 8 months and any hopes of a high quality contest have gone out the window. Though with Melbourne's weather the above forecast is bound to be wrong and we'll end up with Fine and 25 on Saturday.

The weather forecasters can't get it right for tomorrow so i doubt they have any idea about Saturday but the latest is Windy with showers 10-16 which is pretty normal for a Melbourne winters day.
