the more we talk about this, the more ****EN angry I am about it. I've never been more fired up in front of the tele before this game. Your own players can give you the ****s for making mistakes, but when the coloured MAGGOTS who call themselves umpires are clearly affecting the result of games, it makes is impossible to feel anyhting but anger. They go on and on about respect for umpires, but how can you respect them when they put on a performance like this? A performance which even have fans of the winning side feeling sorry for us???

i know we will get our good calls and bad calls, but some of the decisions today really need to be looked at. Thank god I was doing a press conference today - it woulda cost me a few grand plus a suspension.

Heh heh... as I said to Mike B at the match, luckily the umpire's race was nowhere near where I was sitting, or in the state of fury I was in I would have done something I'd later regret.

Well all the talk has been about the decisions in the bombers 50- would it fire you up more if I remind you about the free against Goodes in our 50 when he bumped off the defender and took the mark easily? Then think of how soft those frees were that favoured the Dons forwards!

Fires you up again doesn't it!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

That free in particular really p'd me off. It was nothing, but the golden one down the other end, just needs to sneeze and they'll give him another chance.

Another thing they did, early on Crouch was just around 50? and was looking to lay off. When no option presented he went back to take a set shot on goal. While doing this the ump called him to play on. But Lloyd spends SOOOOO long with his socks, grass (hair - well maybe not that far) thing. It just makes me very angry.
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

The free kick against Goodes was absolutely disgraceful - if you are going to pay that then 25% of the marks in the AFL are illegal.

It also prevented us from kicking a goal in the 2nd qtr.

As for Solomons free - I still don't believe it! I honestly believe that the umpiring cost us this game. I am amazed that we got so close and we didn't even play well.

This was an interesting read. A few of them seem pretty sensible and reasonable about it (eg: Vintage62, Robbie67), but some Bombers knobheads still think they were hard done by or it was fair umpiring.

Most don't seem to get that deliberate out of bounds was correct.

One of them actually said "Just for the record, that Solomon one was a free kick."
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

And to rub insult into injury, Bomber-phile, Rohan Connolly has the indecency to write this garbage.

Just watched the replay on Fox Footy - what a passage their was in the last qtr:

Misiti gets a very soft push in the back free - kicks to a contest, ball spills free and Lovett-Murray THROWS the ball to Lloyd who kicks a goal. If 3 umps couldn't see that then I don't know what they were watching!

That article seems pretty reasonable and fairly constructive to me. Doesn't say anything that Roos won't already have worked out.

The commentators generally restrain themselves pretty well... but one of them said '@@@@' the moment he saw that! Says it all, really.

Doesn't say anything about what everybody at the game worked out, either.

But instead of writing "had it not been for a couple of fortuitous Essendon goals" he could have been a bit more specific.

Livid is the word to best describe my mood today, ****ing livid with what has to go down as some of the worse umpiring I have seen in years.

The more I read, the more pissed off I become.

Reading that Essendon supporters felt we were hard done by has added much salt to my wounds.
