Right. So because the players stop to have a bite to eat at the same place, then mingle with the fans for half an hour TWICE A YEAR, this is an 'added extra' to the value of a Melbourne membership.

If we're going to be that pedantic, how about we talk about the convenience factor of an AM at the ground as compared to one several suburbs away?

Seriously. If you 'do sympathise' (there's that magic word again), do us a favour. Write to the club, and tell them that you're a NSW supporter who sympathises with the Melbourne supporters, and wants them to get more games.
    We hate Anthony Rocca
    We hate Shannon Grant too
    We hate scumbag Gaspar
    But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

I know it's not much but it's something. My kids would kill to get that sort of contact with so many members of the team, as shown in these pics. There is nothing like this or the family day in Sydney.

I'm getting a far reduced access to games as well the last few years because of the higher numbers of night games that I can't take my young family to. But guess what, my situation, like the Melbourne members, puts me in the minority amongst the total membership and the club is always going to go with preferences that satisfy the majority of members.

SO, I say my piece at the start of the year prior to and after the draw comes out and get on with it after that.

It would have been nice to actually warm them in advance that we were coming. I don't think they were impressed when 27 raucous football supporters started rocking up...and then proceeded to start re-arranging the place.

Isn't it time we started doing something similar in Sydney as well? My suggestion is to all come for a $7 steak/chicken breast/pasta at the Forresters Hotel <http://www.forrestershotel.com.au> on Forveaux St after the match. It is a nice place and the food is yummy.

Or there is that pizzeria on Crown Street that the Melbourne-based Cheer Squad were found at after the Saints game last year.

Considering it will be ROBBIE'S BIRTHDAY this weekend, it would be nice if a few of us met up for a get-together somewhere.

How about some of those white sticker things that you always seem to get when you start a new job *SIC*?

Do people want to try it in the MA Noble Stand after-match as well? Then people would be wanting to come up asking why we all have these stickers on, which is a good chance to advertise RWO.

I'll be doing my best at the Irish Club in Perth, as I'm sure there are hundreds of WA-based Swans supporters who's love to stay in touch with things. Apparently we have 80 Perth-based supporters sitting with us at Subi!!!!!!

Puts hand up to do stickers!

Do we want them for the next Melbourne game (Round 14).
The next aftermatch isn't until Round 22.
The next pizza get together will be Round 14 after the Carlton game, but I suggest Lygon Street for that one.

I don't think the people in Clarendon street were too upset with us, look at all the extra business, but I might just call in on the way to 'Bob Jane' after Round 22 and warn them we'll be back later.

I agree with Mike, our first get together for a meal with the people from the 'one list' now yahoo list days (which this message board has more or less replaced) was in Lygon Street with AnniSwan and I from Melb, Bill, Scott, Mike and his mate from Syd, after that Melb game.

Talking about getting together for a meal, who's going to Adelaide on June 13.

As far as I know, the people there will be

Peter, in his much travelled car
              me
              Seth, the Swans of death
              Cheersquad Steve

Fasta Pasta on South Terrace is definitely the go in Adelaide. It was awesome, as the locals enjoyed our rendition of "Cheer Cheer" (except the guy behind the bar who was a Port fan.)

And if we ask nicely, I'm sure that some of our Port Adelaide Outer Army friends might like to meet us there too.

It is a long weekend. The positive of this is that we could spend a bit of time in SA on the Monday. The negative is that flights to/from Adelaide are rather dear in comparison with normal.

And Robbie, stuff the rugby. Scotland are pure ****e in any case. All men in dresses in any cases. (And I can show you plenty of them at the Imperial Hotel-ICK!!!!)

And the Port Outer Army will miss you at their BBQ.

JF, if I can find some cheap flights across I'll be there. If not I'm taking Nana to the Union.

Or maybe give them a call on (03) 9690 2226 earlier in the week and say "hey - there's going to be about 30 of us rock up about 8 o'clockish on Saturday night!"

Lygon Street sounds like an option for the Carlton game - and maybe Kardinia Cafe opposite the ground for the Geelong game

We'll be leaving early Monday, but will have all day Saturday to see the sights.
