I hope I'm wrong but LRT was kicked in the arm/hand during today's game he left the field holding it gingerly. He went straight to the rooms. I don't remember seing him after that point. It didn't look good at the time.

I'm fearful of the worst. Topped off his day. He didn't have a great game up to then.

Belconnen 18-4-112 def Swans reserves 15-8-98 (?). I don't remember the Swans score, but Belconnen got up by a couple of goals.

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

That's what I was trying to say, I just didn't do it clearly. The only time (it seemed) that O'Keefe and Davis got clean marks from a lead forward was in a position that was hard to score from. This was because, more often than not, the delivery into the forward line from our midfielders was shoddy.

If the midfielders don't have the confidence to hit a leading forward, then they may as well bomb it in long to Bazza (provided no 3rd man is dropping back) and let him try to outmuscle his opponent. Don't **** around with it on the wings where we inevitably lose possession anyway.

Well now we have at least identified a replacement for Ross Lyon!

              Now let's be honest.

Who has played consistently well this year? Well I reckon just about no-one except Hall. Kennelly, Maxfield, Goodes, Fosdike, Bolton J, Williams all very ordinary form. Davis carrying his injury.

Hall and O'Keefe probably our best pair in recent weeks.

With most of our team out of touch, and we are a 'team' we do not have a lot of individual stars, we have a real problem.

I cannot agree that Micky O will make much difference because, as much as I love him as a player, our disposal into the forward line was crap today. And I hate to say it but I think, like anotherin the last week or two, Micky's stellar career is probably over.

Defence, Richardson kicked seven today, we kicked eight, memo to defence and coaching staff after first quarter...."they are only kicking to Richo", didn't they read their emails? They had no other forward options to speak of and we could not stop them!

              Embarrassing....

Thanks for those details. Belconnen is a pretty smart outfit and will take a power of beating for the flag.

                  Indeed.
At 1/4 time I was calling for Goodes to go back - we would hardly have missed him up front , after all.

                        Four areas of our play concerned me ;

                        1 poor disposal
                        2 playing short and wide
3 Lack of TALK. our players continually spoiled each other
4 allowing Richo to play man on man. With his size he will always be hard to match up. But at no stage did we see a 3rd player try to block Richo's leads or have a tall try to assist in marking contests. I bet Richmond were also very surprised .

Richmond used Ottens very effectively as a blocking player on our forward line. A few years ago I saw Ball play a similiar role and he played superably.

I am a great fan of Roos but IMO Dan the Dud won the battle of the coaches.
