They've chosen four tall forwards just to keep us guessing.
    Crouch named on the wing.

Ablett, Powell and Doyle dropped for Rogers, Micky and Nicksy.

Interesting that with our three fringe midfielders fit...Buchanan is now getting the nod. Reward for better form shown last week.

Bevan is named on the bench - maybe those disposal errors are finally counting against him. Fosdike and Bolton named on the ball.....I reckon they have had the riot act read and been told that they have to go out and take this opportunity or he'll send in the next couple.

It's such a good team in theory, now if everyone could just play to their ability.......

Take no notice of the line ups on paper they mean nothing!!

Interesting to see Rogers ahead of Mcviegh, I guess they felt they needed another tall just in case as the Eagles have a few tall young kids.

        congratulations on the 150.
Seems to have taken forever....congrats to Nick and Nic as well.

Interesting to see Rogers get another run, good on him. Doyle had to go, rather useless over the last few weeks IMO

I wonder where Nicks will play, off the half back flank or on the forward line.

Dpw said that to take no notice of the line ups on paper. I agree. All week we have heard that Goodes will not play in the forwards and IMO this is a smart move. Most likely he will ruck. I think that Rogers will spend time in the backline even though he can be a bit loose. I can not see Saddo playing at CHB for long periods , particularly, re Roos previous comment that Saddo is not suited to a KP.

I thought he done a great job of shutting down krakouer in the forward libe

After a couple of false starts, Michael O'Loughlin has been named in the Sydney line-up to take on West Coast at Subiaco on Saturday and looks set, finally, to take the field.

Also into the Swans' 22 are Aaron Rogers and Matthew Nicks, both of whom have been named on the bench.

The players to make way are Stephen Doyle, Mark Powell and Luke Ablett. Doyle and Ablett are emergencies along with Jarrad McVeigh.

West Coast have made two changes, including Chad Fletcher, who was a late withdrawal from the game against Melbourne last week, and Quinten Lynch, who served a one match suspenion imposed by the club for misconduct.

Damien Adkins and the suspended Kasey Green are the players to make way.

I am surprised with how few opportunities Ablett is getting this season. He was very good in the preliminary final and I would have thought he'd get a good run this year.

Am also disappointed not to see McVeigh there somewhere. If we're going short and fast I would've thought he'd be a certainty.

Big game for Nicks - just about last chance saloon stuff for him I'd say.

Fingers crossed O'Lougjlin gets through OK. I'll put a lazy $5 on him kicking 5 goals in a Swans win.

this is a game where he can have a good crack at one of their developing forwards - but i could imagine that he would pick up jakovich, with james on mcdougall and bolton on staker...

while jakovich has masses of experience he isnt that useful in the forward line - but he still has a big body - and rogers has the biggest body from the swans, so it seems likely

if the team lines up the way it is named i will cry as it would be confirmed that roosy has lost the plot 'yeah, nah' id be disappointed, while saddington would be a good matchup for staker or mcdougall, i want to see him spend more time in the forward line

an interesting thing they had on league teams last night was a replay of all of magic's 6 goals from last season against the eagles and all bar one he was roving the pack and weaving magic and slotting it through... it tended to be okeefe contesting it in the goal square, bringing it to ground and magic going bang... WHICH backs up my argument to play him in the pocket rather than FF as his greatest strength IMO is his roving capacity. i just want to see saddington contest the ball about 15m out from goal and magic staying down - the combination could become extremely lethal!
