    Saddo

I know there has been a massive amount of posting regarding this man recently, but it seems to ave died over the last few weeks. Where is Saddos future in this side? He had to ruck a bit on the w/e after Goodesys blow, but the previous week he shifted from HFF to HBF and never really maintained a stable position. He has obviously regained some form, now where is he going to fill into our team over the next few months? Will he be a wingman, HFFlanker or HBFlank?

BTW, did i scrape into Barts 22??
    - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

I don't think he's regained much form at all. He's still pretty much a passenger, just doing occasional things. Nowhere near good enough, but that's been the story of our much of our team this year.

As for what to do with him, I still think a swing man at either half back or half forward as required is probably best.

This is garbage. Happy to argue over his footballing merits, but being one of the few players that I have met over the years, I've found him to be a quality person, a really good bloke who'll chat to anyone.

Finally, some sense. What's with people taking pot shots at the players lately (in regards to things other than their footy)?

Saddo seems to be playing okay as a utility, and he's certainly displaying plenty of versatility.

Given our difficulties at half forward, I'm a bit surprised that he hasn't been slotted in there on a more regular basis.

Against the Eagles we certainly could have done with someone on the flank who could take a mark and kick long into the 50.

I was amazed to see him sitting on the bench when we were struggling.

Maybe this was Roos 'saving' Saddo so that he would have the energy to take over from Ball in the ruck when Jason needed a break.

FWIW I thought Saddo had a pretty reasonable game at the weekend and agree with Cliff that he is certainly showing his versatility at the moment.

Well, the question now has to be asked: Is there anywhere Saddo can't play? Down back, up forward, ruck, wing: he's got it
all - maybe time to chuck him in the midfield.

I can vouch for that after Saturday as well.

But his footballing prowess and skills know NO end. We have a chance to get back into the game, and the great man sends it over the boundary line on the full.
