    I usually enjoy Dermott's commentary.

I think one of the differences between him and many of the others is that he is aware of his "bias", generally keeps it in check but isn't afraid to acknowledge it when it peeks out its head.

like the "i shouldnt be saying that" call

i like derm coz he points out little intricacies of the game that arent obvious

my fav callers would be tim lane and denis cometti with garry lyon and dermott for special comments

I quite like Brian Taylor. Calls it as he sees it and is knowledgable. Dwayne lets that group down, because he knows jack.

ACK! I can't abide Brian Taylor!!!

Shocking voice and has no idea who any of the players are

          Called Ablett "Fosdike" once
Called Ladson "Osborne" at least twice
Called nearly every Sydney player in defence "Leo Barry"

Dwayne called Nicks "Barry Hall" once

I could never stand listening to MMM call a game if Brian was on - I always wanted to smash the radio every time he said "Triple M raaaaaaaacks football!"

i enjoy the intricacies as well. He picks out many of the strategic plays that teams make that arent clearly obvious to the viewer.

I hated it when he used to call Goodes "goodey two shoes" though! eeek! a little bit of professionalism please....

An easy mistake with the new hairdo - I thought it was Bazza with the ball once until he handballed it to the real bazza.

On the TV I noticed they called Cbolt O'keefe, as well.

First time you've heard him? You lucky bastard! Taylor is a piece of poo.

In that he's similar to Lou Richards. There's nothing wrong with bias in a commentator, just as long as they don't pretend to be unbiased.

Speaking sycophancy and unxiousness, who were those total gallah's doing the commentary for the West Coast game.

FWIW I tend to turn the TV sound down and listen to the radio commentary as I find them much better and a LOT less annoying.
Anyone remember the 2GB commentary froma few years ago with Skilton, Tim Flynn (RIP) and a n other (old memory playing me up)? They were shocking on telling you what was going on in the game but I loved them as they were so enthusiastic and funny. Find Rodney a bit annoying commenting on the swans game as he does tend to let a bit of anti-r&w slip in sometime (or maybe that is me being super-sensitive, I am a woman after all!)
                              Bring it on!
