Do the Swans have a preference to play on the O'Reilly side of the ground?

Or is it just me who thinks this?

Every time I go to the SCG I sit in the Ladies Stand and seem to gaze over to the other side for 75% of the match.

Even when the ball is kicked in from a point to the MA Nobel pocket they seem to switch back to the other side more often than not.

I'd love to know the stats for using that side of the ground.

That's funny, we sit on the O'Reilly side and it always feels to me as if all the action happens on the OTHER side of the ground

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I'm with Des here - I also sit in the O'Reilly and seem to spend most of the match watching the TV screen so I can see what is happening in all those packs on the other side of the ground!

We're over on the O'Reilly side too and were complaining at the weekend that the action is always in the shadow on the other side of the ground. And in the Hawks game all the scoring was at the other end, too.

If they aren't playing your side and they aren't playing our side - where are they playing?

I watch far too many games on TV, and it sure as hell isn't down the middle!

          Hmm... the plot thickens.
          We hate Anthony Rocca
          We hate Shannon Grant too

AH HA!!! So that's why we're sitting in such a precarious position on the ladder. The team isn't even out on the ground playing!!!

It doesn't matter where I sit, the action is always on the other side of the ground and I spend half my time watching the game on the big screen at the ground. I feel I may as well stay home and watch it on tele.

does it then jump to the other side of the tele screen to where your lounge is?

                    Welllll!!! LMAO!!

You know what I used to hate on CH. 7. I used to get banished to the family room to watch the footy on the little portable tele, which was OK as I get a crisper picture on that.

BUT.... @ 8:30 pm they would show the Tattslotto numbers and put the footy in a small box which would take up about a third of the screen and the Tatts numbers of the other two thirds. Made viewing very interesting, watching these ants kick a crumb around the TV!!!!

I sit on the Driver Avenue side of the SCG and its so annoying that they always play to the O'Reilly side of the SCG it is so rare that both teams play up our side of the ground.

But at Telstra we see alot more action cos we r sitting on the opposite side to the benchs.

Just wish they could play to the Driver Ave side more often cos there is usually a couple of ppl over there who always are screaming for the ball and a mile of green grass to run on.

Easy solution - sit with cheer squad in in Noble stand, or will Murphy's law will dictate that you have chosen the non scoring end!

I can hear Dermie now. "There's only one minute left to go and there hasn't been a single scoring shot up towards the end where that guy is sitting with the note pad."
