That's what I thought, but I watched the first half of the replay when I got home last night (before falling asleep) and it looked as if Leo was the closest player to Bowden when he had his first half kicks at goal. That may just have been Leo covering because Kennelly was miles away, of course.

Luffy had a few digs at Kennelly at the aftermatch about his accountability for his opponent (not specifically based on this match - more the Weagles one) and Tadhg admitted it is something he has been spoken to about. But if we want Kennelly and Leo to take some risks and be offensive players then we have to accept that sometimes they are going to get caught out going the opposite direction.

I'd imagine this was a match up set by Roos - we've seen the pressure Monty applies to the opposition and this was a move to try and really shut down Smith as he provides them with their direction on the rebound from HB with his long kicking. Worked a treat.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Suggested that he is 50/50 for next week, and will have to attend to the injury carefully during the week if he is to be a chance.
Yep... I thought Davis was fantastic whenever he was near the ball, he appeared to be over the hip flexor.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

After 3Q time, you could just see the swans were ready to call it quits for the night. The intensity dropped dramatically. There is no killer instinct in this side. They get a match winning lead and then take the foot off. Everyone knew the games was over at 3Q time, but the dogs were a rabble, and we should have taken full advantage of it. Instead the swans just mark time for the duration.

As for Davo, really disappointing he got injured. He was looking great, running around the midfield a lot more than spending time up forward. He's just gotta stay fit for a decent amount of time.

Good on ya Robbie for not coming up this weekend. You were there in spirit tho as your flag was being waved in the cheer squad.

You're right about our run. It has been exciting the last two weeks. Goodes has definitely given us some elbow room - despite being a little proppy. I thought the way Tiger attacked the flight of the ball and backed himself with a few hard runs was great to see.

But then again we've only beaten the Hawks and the Dogs (without being overly convincing either time), so we might be getting prematurely excited about a turnaround.

We laid the ground work for a 10 goal+ victory last night, but didn't manage to break them. I'll go away hoping that if the kicking improves we'll have a shot next week.

The Hall/Grant 'incident' was highlighted on footy show this morning. Appears to be no footage of it. Investigation is suggested. Confirmed that Saddington has done ACL, Davis ankle apparently not too severe. BTW thought Davis looked very good in the midfield, is a super kick according to KB and one of the few who doesn't waste it the pill. Hall's very wasteful in front of goal, looked frustrated. Saddington's baby arrivev on Thursday. Buchanan and MvVeigh looked all right.
