    Double Trouble

Have to say that its good to have BBBH and Magic on the field at the same time.

Nicks as a third foil was a bonus. What's his status in the side now - is he in the first XXII or will he go once injured players come back?

Monty's goal today was beautiful and about the only guy who was quiet today was R'OK.

What is fantastic is that we have stopped that stupid practice we had of a player who had the ball about 60/70 out chipping it short and invariably it was cut off or spoilt.

I don't think we have seen his best yet. Hasn't lived up to the hype surrounding him yet!!

LRT - not in best 18
              Davis would replace Ablett
              Schnider would repace Buckanon
              Schuable would replace James.
And Saddington, James, and Nicks to fight for a spot as forward/utility.

Nicks has the spot as long as his form holds.

Anyone who thinks that Buchanan should not be in our best 22 from his performance over the past few weeks needs their head read. Just think of both Schneider and Buchanan there - maybe with the Schneiderman in midfield.

And you'd drop Nicks at your peril.

James is looking pretty deserving, too.

Right now we're looking at the injury side of the season. Rather than think of who to drop, think about who to bring in. Doyle did a good job yesterday but now he needs a backup. And last week I despaired because I couldn't see how we could even structure our forwards if Baz was out. Nicks?

Then again, we could do a battle of the clones. Nicks and Baz look interchangeable so why not? And Schneider/Buchanan look the same so we can only have one on the team. Then who do we drop from the twins McVeigh and Fossie?

isnt it great when we're winning and have selection dillemmas such as this?

With this in mind, would there be a place in the team for Fixter as well?

Not sure in terms of team balance, but if they were to bring Fixter back in to the 22, it would free Crouch up to push up into the midfield where he has done a great job driving the ball into our forward line and popping up for the odd goal himself too.

                      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Actually I dont regard Fosdike in our best 22. (regardless of his game on the weekend), its just that we look a bit tall if he is replaced with more worthy players such as Saddington or James.

My best team would look something like this at present:

                          FF: Schneider O'Loughlin Nicks
                          HF: Davis Hall Saddington
                          C: Mathews Williams Maxfield
                          HB: Kennelly Goodes Barry
                          FB: Crouch Schauble C.Bolton
                          Fol: Ball Kirk J.Bolton
                          Int: Fosdike Doyle Bevan O'Keefe
                          Em: Buchanan McVeigh James

Obviously, tough on Buchanan. Havent seen Fixter recently so too hard to judge. Ablett hasnt shown enough yet to justify selection in a full strength side. And unfortunately Warfey's two diving marks were just not good enough for a spot on the bench!

If only this was a worthwhile exercise with all these guys being available

Buchanan is easily in our best 22 at the moment. He has shown more form than Fosdike this year.

To say there isn't room for Schneider and Buchanan is a load of rubbish.

Spot on really. Being pedantic I'd put O'Keefe in the starting side, with Nicks on the bench.

Isnt it great that our three emergencies are all young guns that will probably push into our best 22 by next year.
