Speaking of double trouble, how about having Buchanan and Schneider on the ground at the same time. They look so alike, for a moment last weekend I thought Schneider had made a surprise return from injury.

I think Derm made a comment during the game about there only really being one spot in the team for a Schneider/Buchanan type player. What do you think?

I think with Buchanan pushing more up into the midfield there could be a spot for them both, but it's hard to see who will be in the team when Schauble, Schneider, Davis and perhaps Fixter are ready to return.

You would think that James, Ablett and McVeigh are gone, but I don't know who the fourth would be. Pretty tough on Amon after the games he played of late to drop him.Comment

when schneider comes back, he will be played in spurts in the forward pocket off the bench, meanwhile, buccy will play in the forward pocket rotating through the midfieldOriginally posted by monopoly19

buccy is wasted in the forward pocket, IMO, as his strength is extracting the ball out of packs, where schneider makes the crumbing forward pocket role an art form...

BUCCY AND SCHNEIDS BELONG IN THE SAME SIDE!

buccy will be pressuring fozzie for his spot, not schneider's...C'mon Chels!Comment

Too true. And I think you might be surprised how hard it'll be for a returning player to dislodge McVeigh - he's earned his spot and keeps earning it every week.Originally posted by penga

Agree! Def room for Schneids and Monty!Originally posted by Go Swannies
Anyone who thinks that Buchanan should not be in our best 22 from his performance over the past few weeks needs their head read. Just think of both Schneider and Buchanan there - maybe with the Schneiderman in midfield.

And you'd drop Nicks at your peril.

James is looking pretty deserving, too.

 McVeigh I thought played well.
Not too sure about NOG... He wans't by any means a stand out, but with some more game time. He wans't by any means a stand out, but with some more game time.Comment

There's gotta be something wrong with that boy, particularly the way he approached the had a shot for goal he had from 45 in the first quarter.

He's got a kick like a mule (sorry "like an Ablett") and yet he was looking to pass off.

Similarly he failed to make a contest during the last quarter, his apponent just took an uncontested mark, while he looked for crumbs that'd never come.

Whether it's lack of confidence or what but somethings just not right.Comment

At the start of the year he hadn't played a senior game. He has proven himself game after game he is def worthy of our best 22Comment

Presuming we are injury free, which means to me that goodes can play anywhere so id move him forward to run free and play second ruck even...

i cant decide between nicks and buchanan so left it for now......
tho if goodes can ruck again i may drop doyle from that bench

well when i pick the side its more just indicating they will be at certain ends of the ground.

i.e if we play port schuable is chb because he is on tredrea and brown against brisbane whereas against essendon he is full back...

i dont know we need two goodes cos he is so good at both ends...guess thats why he has a brownlowTheres not much left to sayComment
