    cos they play here! and it makes it cheap to go to games im not sure

    perhaps we are that far behind we are seeing the 1988/9 season now..

    i have always gone for the swans and where i am have only met 2 other swans supporters...

        It will take quite a few years for the Cairns Turtles unfortunately Troy ... whilst the league administration is excellent up here ... as proven by their strong financial base ... the advertising/corporate dollar isn't here as the Taipans (only national sporting team) struggle in this niche market already. nth Qld Cowboys in Townsville also take a few dollars from the region.

        Also, the players will complain about the heat (unjustly given their fitness levels ... heck I am still getting a kick up here & I am no athlete!!).

        I think Canberra or Tassie should be given next opportunity ... both have been doing the SCG experiement of the late 1970s if you haven't already noticed.
        See me run a marathon again as a leprechaun?
