I guess there is logic in Davis on the field with one leg should command a higher class of defender than a rookie, so it eases the pressure on the others.

Didn't see too much of the ball actually coming to him either, not the best day for drive from the midfield to the forward line.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Well I also said that MOL was a week to week proposition which is a problem but Voss can still produce with a similar injury. Sometimes it comes down to mental toughness

When Voss runs from the goal square he has better delivery from his midfield.

True but he is tough and can produce under adversity.

Re: Meiklejohn - it is early days but he needs a lot of development. Not expecting him to dominate but I felt that at times there was no contest for the Port ruckman to just tap it to where they wanted. Sounds harsh but compare him to some of the third string ruckmen around the league - McLaren, Seaby, Loats etc. and he doesn;t really measure up.

From the crowds today, I wonder what they normally use AAMI stadium for? Are Lions vs Christians or some promising Gladiators scheduled for a midweek match?

Go Nick!! had a laugh at that when the commentators mentioned it.

Some of what was picked up on the boundary mic's by the Port fans was pretty bad, and was directed at their own most of the time, when they well and truly had control of the game.

I think MJ is still a babe and we shouldn't judge him yet. He's not up to the AFL standard yet. Given time he'll be ok.

Powell has timing issues, which he is working out. He's much improved compared to last year.

Nog is one I am disappointed with in alittle. I have hope he'll get his head around it, but a player I don't have that much confidence in. I hope I'm wrong.

                      What'a anne on!

Ablett played well in the final quarter as did Powell. Powell has scarcely played 8 games. He needs time. he's got a great pair ofb hands. See what happens next week.
