Hate to be belted, but after the 96 GF I got a call from a close friend who was a Kanga's supporter.

Considering the fact that we didnt sustain all those injuries during the game, made those shots that hit the post, we still would have lost.

As soon as Barry was ruled out, we all knew tredrea was gonna run riot in the forwards. We have played the past 3 games at the SCG and i think moving to aami was a bit of a difference. We really have no excuses on why we never there around the ball.

The losing margin tells us that we were not the better team.

Yes we played like crap. There are reasons for that but there are no excuses - and I haven't heard Roos make any. Last year we went in hit with a lot of vital injuries and lifted in adversity. This year we just capitulated.

On considering some more I may have been wrong not offering Port congratulations - thought I still don't think this is the right forum. Yes, they did beat the Swans 2s. But they did it by so completely overrunning them that they couldn't even find the spark they have shown in just about every other game in ther past two years.

But we really, really do have to thank Port. I thought it was going to be a complete massacre of 100 points plus. At least they were gentle after the game was won at 3/4 time. (Well, it was won by the second quarter but you have to wait a decent time before declaring the corpse is cold).

AND WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TOO??

We have had some very entertaining posts here from Port Ferals. And today I read about a Pies supporter doing a PhD in footy barracking. A Pies fan with a PhD and intelligent Port supporters. Next I'll hear about a rational Bomber fan . . .
