Brodie Holland should get the same treatment in spades. It would be great to have 50,000 Swans supporters booing the Collingwood No. 6 every time he gets the ball. You won't have any trouble hearing that even if you are sitting in the middle of the unwashed.

As for the unwashed, we should prepare a little flyer for Collingwood supporters to help them survive in society. It should be full of little things like
    (1) Water doesn't sting when it touches your skin, so there's no excuse for not bathing.
    (2) Dental work should always be done by a dentist, not a doorknob. (Note: "doorknob" is not a slang term for a bouncer or doorman.)
    (3) Invest in a second set of clothes so you can wash your Collingwood guernsey.
    (4) If you are on parole, make sure you don't get into trouble with the police. Don't get into fights, don't run onto the ground during the game, and be respectful to other patrons and the ground staff.
    (5) When drinking beer, do not allow the open end of the glass to point downwards.

In any joke about Collingwood supporters, a prison reference is mandatory. Perhaps many of the Collingwood supporters are on day leave from prison? Or maybe they are breaching their parole conditions ....

Interesting people are down playing the attendace for the game.

Read somewhere that 60,000 tickets had been sold (inlcuding members seats), which was a week ago. Eddie also mentioned that they thought around 5,000 of the filth had booked to go up to Sydney.

A caller on the 3AW rumour file this morning (was a Melbourne based Swans member) had said that he had booked tickets for level 1 a month ago but was called by the Melbourne office to be told all the allocation was gone and he would have to sit on level 3.

I think we will get around last years crowd numbers.

They sometimes release more spots closer to game day so I'd check back regularly over the coming days.
thanks but I got the P3 one so not to miss out. The last time this happened was the Prelim and before that was the last Pies game

Melbourne fans beat us to it

                  Classic, ain't it!

Seriously, I have been seeing the ads they have been playing on the screens at Town Hall Station. Not only do they look great, they were getting EVERYONE's attention.

However one thing that many people forget to realise is that the Bledisloe Cup will be on from Brisbane the same night. How may people will opt to stay home in their warm lounge rooms and flick between the two rather than come to our match and not get to see any of the rugger.

As shown by the crowd against Melbourne, clashing with the rugger will mean at least 5000 less fans through the gate.

Sadly I think the ARU has done this deliberately. As they try and smother out other codes by holding their marquee matches in opposition to ours.

60000+ would be a success. Let's all start to promote it ourselves to our friends, work-colleagues etc etc.

Hopefully the people buying tickets to the swans forget that! and just come along anyway

I hate rugby, and couldn't care less personally, but these Sydneysiders who wouldn't go to a local rugby match if you paid them do seem to enjoy basking in the glory of the national side.

Would love to outdraw the Wallabies, and then thrash them nationally in the ratings - I hear that the ARU & 7 are very scared about the Swans winning the national TV ratings hands down that night. Wouldn't suprise me, I can't see Melb, Perth and Adelaide veiwers picking the Wallabies over the Swans, and Sydneysiders might turn over in droves if the games result is clear one way or another.

Expect a MASSIVE crowd!! When i bought my ticket a month ago, there were not many spots at all to get 12 people into, we had t go 6 in 2 seperate rows. The lady was shocked at how well it was selling and said it will almost certainly sell out! I think a lady working at Ticketek would have a better chance predicting than "Mark". Cos deadset mate, thos estimates and reasoning of yours are so far off it isnt funny.

I think you mean RWC rematch. Bledilsoe is in August and up against our match at the SCG against the Roos

I don't think the ARU did next weeks match deliberately because they are going to get murdered in the southern TV markets as a result. I've previously advocated the ARU and AFL sitting down and avoiding these clashes.

But England this year may not be the attraction they were last year, with no Wilko or Johnson and having being smashed by the ABs last weekend

As for the Rugby, the Poms were thrashed by the All Blacks so it wouldn't be much of a Match anyway
