      and what did the crows have to give up to get him for one and a half years of injury and non-performance? IIRC, Kane Johnson and some draft picks were part of some big swap.

      He MAY have been the difference last year, but I'd prefer to stick with Roosy's plan to build a team from the ground up. We've had plenty of those "top-up" years and its won us nothing so far.

          Yes, he was a great player but IMO he got away with blue murder more often than not on the field thanks to the umpiring fraternity.
