Could Round 16 look like this?

How long since we struggled to fit someone in? If we can get/keep most players fit now we can give the finals a nudge.

    SYDNEY
    B: Crouch Schauble, Bevan
    HB: Barry, Goodes, Kennelly
    C: Bolton C, Williams, Mathews
    HF: Maxfield, Hall, Davis
    F: Schneider, O'Loughlin, O'Keefe
    FOLL: Ball, Kirk, Bolton J
I/C : Doyle, Fixter, McVeigh, LRT

Emer : Ablett James Meiklejohn Powell Thewlis Dempster

Round 18/19 in contention ..... Buchanan, Fosdike

Agree that Craig Bolton should move forward, but not before Crouch imo.

Disagree, Hes a left footer with a raking kick and has the ability to kick a long goal on the run and is top tackler which can help us lock it in.

Agree, but how do we fit them in, the whole point really, too many talls as well true, as nice problem though I hope we can have soon...

All very true but not much good without an overhead mark or verticle leap.

maxfield would be good running off half back so kennelly can go midfield/forward

his best attribute is when he is streaming down the wing kicking long to a forward, u also know he is returning to his best when he is doing it regularly, which he has been in recent weeks

IMO maxfield would be a waste on a HFF

IMHO LRT is 12-18 months away from of having enough kicking and street smarts to survive week in week out in the AFL. Until then he should play a senior role in the reserves until he dominates most weeks anf things become second nature. He is Ok when he is instinctive but when he has a lot of time to make a decision he looks indecisive. Maybe tradebait???

Or barging through the middle and kicking long and straight down the guts. Agree that he'd be wasted up forward where he doesn't have the space to run into.

If I had to point to one single reason why the Swans have improved over the past month, it would be Maxfield's return to form.

dont think tradebait is the answer. He is a long term prospect, but above all, hes a local boy. Plus hes a tall. We all saw the potential last year, so it simply doesnt make sense to dangle him as tradebait before we see if that potential can become true talent.

Dont think many would give up a high draft pick for him at this stage anyway.

That would be irrationale. We could easily trade him away but it would be very hard to find one to replace him.

The only way is to find a replacement is through the draft and that would mean at least 24-36 month of hard work before any return is visible. No gain game.

He is the crucial missing link of our team structure. He will have a major saying in our next premiership if it is going to due in the next 5-7 years.
