Hubby's in August. Last year we'd booked his fav seafood restaurant for the day of which just happened to be the Sunday Sydney played at the GABBA.

We (or I should say I) had a big night the night before and didn't get out of bed until after our noon booking, hence we missed it. I turned on the TV to watch the game at 1pm. And I really thought either the TV was going to be broken or he was drawing the divorce papers up.

I was like a naughy puppy with my tail between my legs I crawled into another room to watch the game on the crappy TV.

Am I being evil when saying it was worth it?

I was at a 3 day conference starting on the Sunday that the vs. Brisbane at the Gabba game was on last year. The conference was for the user groups of the rather large IT company I work for, and I missed a few hours of it by toddling off to watch the game at whatever that sports bar is near where Sega world used to be... I thought I was being half naughty but there was quite a few nerdy lookin' folks with their delegate IDs in there... then I thought I was way cool for remembering to take off my ID badge...
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
