Fortunately Buckley didn't touch the ball much in those last few minutes, and the rest of their team just seemed to lack the skill to put us away on a few occasions when they had the opportunity.

We panicked and rushed a bit at the end, and made some bad choices, like laying on the ball at CHF giving a free kick away. It was fortunate that Fixter had a cool head and his handball out the O'Keefe was a matchwinner (one of the 3 plays of the day IMHO).

No - its just speculation. Tarrant has bad games and good games. They wouldn't have had an extra player on the ground, so the player they left out could have been someone who had a good game and kicked a couple.

Rocca still moves like a pudding, not convinced we ever lost too much there despite his long kicking. Credit to McVeigh for having a crack at the 70 m - too many players wouldn't bother. The crowd love it, TV loves it and you never know.

o'keefe was BOG IMO, he really determined our momentum in the first half

people keep questioning the value of doyle - he is developing into a beauty of a ruckman. stats alone shows that he contested 21 less ruck contests than ball but still managed to get 3 more hitouts! richards smashed ball in the centre

Second time he's done that this year - neither shot went anywhere near, but it's fun to watch him give it a go - and who knows - maybe someday!!!

I had specially brought two extra banner sticks, but had absolurely no idea where I'd put them.

I missed 10 minutes of the 2nd quarter trying to locate Shannon the Cannon from the Cheer Squad, only to be instructed to the wrong side of the ground.

Then I get this SMS from Tina saying she was pissed that her new sign wasn't up.

I have salvaged the signs and am taking them to Melbourne for the Carlton game along with the drum.

Good to see people like Old Royboys and Aussie Ange joining in when I got the drum going in the last quarter. Great to meet you AA.

PS:- The Pies forwards have obviously been watching Beckham shooting for goal. How many did they miss? (Leon Davis, EEEEEEOOOOOOR!)

Got home from TS just in time to see the last quarter, and that the camera's flashed to Joffa (and he looked miserable) and at the end, the Edster looking like he was sucking on a big peice of lemon.

Couldnt believe that Quartemain & Walls commentary, just way too biased.

                      Hi All

I'm a collingwood fan who lives in Sydney, and attends all swans games at the SCG. I have a full set of teeth, and even though I bleed black and white, I can appreciate other teams...and cheer the swans against the rest of the competition.

To say I was disappointed with the game is an understatement.

First the attendance was bad, then we got a scrappy game to top it off. No doubt we gifted the game to Sydney. Leon Davis missed an easy set shot from 30 metres out. Rocca missed 2 set shots, McGough missed a shot running into goal. Nicks got paid a mark right in front that he barely held. Given that we tried but we are not playing with any confidence...we may be the best 14th placed team ever!

And contrary to some posts on here, Tarrant would have made all the difference. We couldn't mark in the forward 50. Tazza is our best mark, and our highest goal scorer. The AFL Tribunal should be sacked for their disgraceful display in giving him 2 weeks. He was going for the ball. Seriously AFL is becoming like basketball, you can't touch anyone anymore. The game is becoming soft.

It is easy to be cocky after a close win, but Sydney are nothing special this year. If you are happy with that win, well bring on 2005. No team will beat Brisbane this year in a final. Sydney does play well against them but still won't beat them. St Kilda and Melbourne should finish high up but without finals experience, will fall. PA are pretenders, as are Essendon. Geelong I don't rate in finals. So Brisbane it is.

Yes I am disgruntled, but you guys were very lucky.
                      Good Old Collingwood Forever

Bahahahahaha, gifted the game to Sydney. No, the umpires tried to gift the game to you, but your forwards were too pathetic to convert.

Best 14th placed team ever? LMAO. What a claim to fame. Stop deluding yourself. You are 14th. Good or bad, you are 14th. There is no best 14th, it is 14th. And, no, I dont subscribe to the theory that the Bulldogs were the best wooden spooners last year. They were just wooden spooners, just like you are 14th now, not the best, just 14th. (Damn that feels good to write, let me try again: Collingwood are 14th! Yeah, warms the heart, 14th....)

As for Tarrant making the difference. I reckon you definitely would have won if Tarrant was the only man to take the field, and all 43 other guys that should be there stayed in the pub. But if he is allowed, then may I ask if we too could have had Schauble to add to our defense. And while we're at it, maybe throw in Schneider, Davis, Saddington in our forward line.

                            Hahaha, 14th, too funny, 14th....

Why are people saying Goodes is no good at CHB ?

I thought he played well. His opponent was mostly Cameron Cloke who had little impact, and I think his presence at CHB scared MM into playing Rocca at FF where he is useless.

I was at the ground in the forward pocket, so can only really judge it on the 2 quarters he was up my end.

couldnt agree more... its probably a height issue at the moment that leaves him in the backline. Without schuable it would mean LRT or someone at CHB if goodes moves??
