I have noticed recently when people are putting teams on paper that folks are putting Davis at FP and Schneider at HFF. Is this with a fully fit side or with a fully fit side, bar Nick? Is this because people have Davis in the midfield rotation and don't feel he has the fitness to rest on a HFF? Just curious- if Nicky D isn't getting a long enough run in the midfield to justify him resting in the FP he really should be playing on the HFF so he is more involved in general play.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Originally posted by robbieando I would like to see Schauble 1 or 2 weeks in the seconds just the make sure he is fully over his injury. With Fevola and Whitnall out for this week, Schauble isn't really needed, so give him this week at least in the seconds and bring him back for Adelaide in place of LRT.
With Schneider I think bring him in this week and play him off the bench. When he does get on the field, its down forward. Then over the next few rounds build him up for a move back into the midfield (remember against Essendon he seemed to have a bit of an impact in there). Who he comes in for is a difficult question. I wouldn't drop Thewlis after just one match. If Willo doesn't come up, he will most likely be the replacement for him.
Things will be interesting when we get to full fitness. My Best 22 is without Amon who has been great this season, but with Fixter and Schneider back in the side, he will find it hard to get back into our best line up. Its a tough call on him, but at least we know he has a future at the club.

I like that team of yours...its tuff on amon but a team is as good as its reserves... the only thing is id like to see goodes move to either the forward line or ruck rover and without saddington its hard to rearrange the back line so i thought (and this is if goodes is to play ruck rover)

I think Leo barry has shown he can play taller and bigger than he is and could take the second biggest defender in most teams and it frees goodes up.
I would consider LRT a chance to make the team at his best to maybe fill in down back and play ruck a bit, but needs to be at his best

im not sure why robbie put davis in the FP, but i agree with you his best spot is on the HFF where he can lead a bit up the ground and deliver into the forward line... youd need a crumber around oloughlin's feet (although oloughlin's best is playing a crumbing role IMO), a FF line of nicks, oloughlin and davis would supply no crumbing at all. this is where schneider is needed
leapin' leo's best role is the HBF, no questions asked and maxy if he is not on the wing or in the middle should be on the pine getting some much needed rest!
if youre not going to play goodes at CHB, youll need LRT or james there, not barry
it was good to see kennelly play on the wing as well against the pies for a bit
