You bunch of noise hating supporters!!! LMAO.

I thought this topic might raise some interesting debate. Esp. as a lot of you complain of becoming hoarse during or after a game!!

She must've found the only quiet whinging whining Swans Fan at the ground.

By the way shoosh!!! Don't type too loudly.

God my voice was gone by half time last Saturday night - sod I rested
in the 3rd quarter and save the barrage for the "Stink" in the 4th.
We also gave a razing to the one Collingwood Supporter on our bus going home - he couldn't wait for his stop to come!!!

shhhhh - I'm typing a bit too loudly
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I just saw that and popped on to post the link but was obviously well beaten to the punch.

I just cracked up laughing when I read it - so typical.

Des, how was the Chardonnay set you sit with at TS on Sat night? Did they bring their hampers with wine and cheese again???

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

I've had it happen me on more than one occasion. This article was spot on, and there are more than a few people out there who act like that.

              The article is poorly written.

Was the writer told off for barracking too loudly or talking?

I hope that it wasn't for barracking! I got shooshed at the Eagles game earleir this year for barracking too loudly.

Must admit I wonder why people go to a game and talk the whole way through. The people in front of us were so interested in everything else they missed Kennellys goal! I cracked up when they were wondering what all of the fuss was about.

Well thats understandable. After all it was that exciting a goal. and it didn't have that much bearing on the game!!! Did It?!?!?! LMAO

I only get annoyed if someone is constantly screaming in my ear all game. Anything else is fine.

I had to laugh at that story! I have had a few experiences at the SCG.

Had security called in 1997 to deal with a few mates and myself because a few of us were jumping up and down during the final quarter of the Essendon match (which we won by a point from memory)

Luckily a fair few people around us were long term AFL fans who starting laughing very loudly when security was told by the offended party what we had done to ruin their experience lol.

                  Guess it takes all types.

It cuts both ways - there are a couple of guys who sit in front of us at the Olympic doo-dah who like to start a cheer. I usually join in, but a lot of the people immediately around them don't.

Whenever the cheer fails to get critical mass, they start abusing the people who didn't join in. This is as stupid and as out of order as the quiet people wanting to impose their behaviour on everyone ele IMHO.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

I tend to be fairly quiet at the footy, but as long as you're barracking loudly for the Swans you can barrack for me too.

I?m a tunnel vision supporter such is my concentration on the game. Too interested in the game to listen to what some yuppie is carrying on about. What is guaranteed to give me the ****s is the constant shuffling to the bar/piestand/loo of the yuppie brigade, I?ve also had mafia trouble because my barracking has upset the yuppies, but have learnt that if you sit among committed Swans members those problems are minimised. Now how can we get those SCG members out of the Noble stand!

Incidentally, there was a catastrophe at the bar in the members reserve on Sat night ? it ran out of white wine before quarter time!!

Reminds me of one occasion a few years ago. My seats then were right up the back of the Churchill stand (row W). The corporate boxes were immediately behind with just a rail between.

At one game there were two women in the box who obviously were not there for their football knowledge. Probably a couple of PA's in their power suits and heels.

The whole game they sat right behind me chatting loudly (and sipping their white wine, don't know if it was chardonnay) about everything but the footy they were supposedly there to watch. It was very distracting and annoying. I can sympathise with the woman that this article was about.
