Cheers to everyone at the game. Some of the camera shots showed a sea of red and white. Good on you for flying the colours and giving us such a presence in Melbourne.

yeah that was great to see. The noise from the Sydney chanting and roar of approval whenever our players did something positive was clearly audible through the effects mics. Well done, I think you Melbournites played a big part in getting our boys to wake up and click into gear that last quarter!Comment

Thank you Swans supporters in Melbourne - you are all mentioned on the radio and TV - they seem quite schocked at the number of Swans supporters - which is needed at Optus oval.
Thank you one and all - you did a great job - and fabulous cheering it is great to see - hope the team thanked you at the end of the game.Love those SwansComment

Hats off to you guys, you were absolutely awesome, definitely more games down there is a must, its like another home game, its awesome- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!Comment

I've just got home from the game. I sat in Bay 13 of the Legends Stand, and the majority of the supporters near me were Swans. The cheer squad were placed behind the goals in the Legends Stand. The cheer squad did their job well, getting us chanting in the second quarter when we got a few goals in a row late in the term. Later in the match, the cheer squad needed no help to get us chanting.
In the last quarter, the Sydney chant went up after every Swans goal, each chant being louder than the one before it. When Bazza took that wonderful pack mark late in the last quarter, it brought everyone to their feet very loudly, I hope everyone heard it! And the goal was just the icing on the cake, because we knew the game was ours.
After that point, we even got a bit of the slow Sydney chant going. Seems I have the voice for that one, lol.
It was a good game to be at, even though the opposition managed to get three goals up in the last quarter. But the last five goals of the game put paid to that."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

What an amazing turnout...some parts of the crowd looked as though they were entirely Sydney fans, and the noise you guys made was sensational. I was so worried half way through the last quarter because I thought that far worse than the actual pain of losing would be getting another "Melbourne fans deserved better thread started"! Kidding...kudos to you all! Wish I had been there.Comment
