[B]I just called the Swans office and that ticket you get is your reserved seat as where to sit and your actual melbourne membership gets you into the actual ground.

I assume JF has to buy a GA ticket to get into the ground as he is not a Melbourne member.

No, but Greg has 2 Melbourne memberships. I could perhaps get in as his "wife" on his second one.

Will bring a red and white frock just to celebrate it!

Hey DST, I have been doing that trip for decades and have always stood.

It doesn't matter how tired you are after standing all day if you win. But the way it is now if your kids are not at least teenagers it is no fun for them. In the old days they could stand behind those sitting around the fence and have no trouble seeing, while dad stood up the back with the boys and had a few "tubes".

I recall my boys at Princes Park before the changes, being absolutely stoked at the biffo near the boundary, and when the players were leaning over the fence having a go at each other they were ecstatic. Couldn't wait to get back to us to tell us what happened. As if we didn't see the stoush.

Those were the "good old days".

          Hi Nico,

The boys are a couple of mates and we would have no problems standing but one has had some knee trouble recently so needs to sit for that lenght of time.

If we can't make it together then best we stay at home and watch it together on the TV.

According to the GFC Website the 1500 General Admission tickets saved for sale on match day are for Geelong Members only.

Anyone without a seat might want to ring the GFC as I believe they sell tickets there seperate to ticketek, but maybe that is only for GFC members, I'm not sure but Its worth a phone call 03 5225 2300

As stated in the Melbourne Office email
"If you wish to pre-book your standing room you can do so by contacting Ticketmaster on 1300 136 122 for only $5.50."

Just looked at the Geelong draw for Skilled Stadium games.

8 games - Adelaide, Melbourne, Kangas, Brisbane, Sydney, Saints, Freo, Hawks.

So when they did the draw last October it looks like Geelong got a good deal. Not too many supporters to whinge about seating etc, plus some genuine home gound advantage against well performed sides.

Melbourne were going ordinary with bugger all members, the Saints still had a lot of work to do on membership, Freo doesn't win away and only had to accommodate Cheer Squad, Kangas were supposedly on the slide, Adelaide still had Ayresy, and well with the Hawks, how many dogs cats and budgies do they let into the ground these days. What a wish list.

Wendy has picked up the Cheer Squad seating tickets for everyone who'll be at my place on Saturday, if you don't have a Victorian Membership you will need a General Admission tickets as the seating tickets don't get you in the gate.
