ok i will wait a few weeks with doyle i just would think LRT or james could develop into backup ruckman!!

like mooney used to be or goodes was....ruck a bit when the ruckman rests and play elsewhere on the ground...

for now they havent developed enuff to replace doyle but im just suggesting maybe its an option
Theres not much left to say

fair enough too. I'd love to see Heath come in. I admire him immensely. Doyle is the sort of player who can go forward and is more than handy. The problem with that is this is where he sustained his injuries, so perhaps we're erring on the side of caution at the moment. A softly softly approach.

Doyle and Ball have to form a TOUGH as teak combination in the ruck. They have to work on complimenting one another's around the ground attributes. They have to focus on strength and combating opposition styles.

Charman and Keating will be rucking together again in the finals and if you can't dominate that pair, just go hand them the Flag now. Keating starts the momentum for the Lions midfield, they then run in irrisistable waves toward goal. It's like a tsunami, near impossible to stop. Keating is also a superb kick on goal.

Brogan and Lade are proving to be a really powerful rucking unit and they too need to be out muscled. Brogan is getting better by the week, particularly around the ground and throw ins. Lade is massive and a great kick for goal.

Don't worry about anyone else, these combinations will win a flag in 2004 if no one steps right up and that includes Jeff White and David King.

Saints don't have it, Dons don't have it, Freo don't have it...the question is, do the Swans have it?

I looked at that 3 times last night and felt something was wrong, but thought I mispelt David ha Kingy would love that, some goose in Sydney reckon's he's damaging as a 6'2" ruckman.

Apologies to all on the board and most of all Steven King, that wonderful skipper of the Geelong Footy Club!
