Very very impressive debut from the kid - certainly backs himself and is cool under pressure. That long goal - from a standing start pretty much - was great stuff.

First class debut, Schneides! Looks 100% like an AFL-level player. Great ball-sense and does NOT lack for confidence/arrogance. I'm pretty close to giving him TLM votes

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

my impression i got from him tonight was that he seemed to play the same game as schwatta (might have something to do with that left foot) when schwatta was damn good

imo this fella is a gun and has huge potential!!! i watched a bit of the game on FFX when i got home from the game and schwatta was commentating and he gave a parallel to didak, id love to see what those dickhead eddie fans would say about that!

great player, and huge amounts of confidence!

Very impressed with him, he came on early and instancly blew me away. I have seen very little of him and was impressed with his committment, skill level and play. I rate him as high as Sundqvist and hopefully we see both get a fair run this season

He has the potential to be a star - looks outstanding. Funny the way his kicks fade left though. One of his shots at goal was headed towards the left post and if Mazfield had kicked it, it would have swung in, but Schneider's faded left for a point. Nearly all his shots did that - interesting...

Great to see him capitalise on the good pre-season. It certainly got him ready to hit the ground running was the season proper started. If he keeps on like this, he'll be in the team each week.

that is very interesting but something i noticed when he was kickin for goal and he hit the behind post on FFX (im not sure this is the shot for goal u r talkin about) but when he was lining up he had the ball with the laces left rather than straight so i think he was tryin to be tricky... this would make the ball curve left

correct me if im wrong but i dont think any other swans player could take a set shot from about 55m and kick the goal! imagine what he can do on the run!

Therre seems to be a bit of a trend to not have the ball lace up when kicking.

Clubs are trying to get maximum value from kicks for goal and dicing with the wind. Amazing that this seems to have come out in the past 2 years, yet the game has been going 100+ years.

Scnides seems to be very long and penetrating kick and a genuine goal kicker. A great pickup. I'll back kick from 50 metres anytime.

I reckon O'Keefe probably could, and I've seen Cressa and Nicks each do it once, but I agree that I wouldn't back any of the rest.

I'd back the irishman before any of them.

                      He's a superb kicker of a football.

I've definitely seen Tadhg kick a couple of goals from outside 50 on the run before, and we all know Willo can

Schneider was pretty impressive for a first-gamer - his long goal was kicked with a lot of confidence.
