if u watch the game, ie hawthorn vs melb, mitchell had a bit to do with the comeback... ie he got quite a few pivotal centre clearances that helped turn the game towards the end

whereas schneider got a couple of goals but really didnt have an influence on the outcome

I think they prefer to give out awards over the past few performances, rather than just one. So I think its very unlikely that a first gamer would get it. I remember Tadhg got his last year after a series of solid performances rather than one brilliant game. Schneider's time will come
