Wasn't picking on everything you write, just the expression 'for mine' which I really really hate.
On other matters. Micky isn't having a great year, but last year he had an outstanding season. I can't believe, that anyone would want to trade him. There were a lot of games last year, that we would not have won without him.
I don't see much point in trading him now anyway, given his age and injury concerns. If we were going to, we should have 3 years ago - now we may as well keep him. If he can actually get fit, he is still exceptionally good, and as you say, he wins games and that's what we need, a few gamewinners.

It's because your response was too wimpy!

The Swans aren't ever going to win a flag unless we get some quality players.

We should trade Hall and Goodes for draft picks. Even with Goodes' dodgy knees, we should still get at least 3 or 4 first round picks.

With McGlone, Willoughby and Schmidt, we'll probably then have at least half a dozen All Australians.

And trade Fosdike, Saddington, Ablett and Mathews for a second round pick, which we can use for a young ruckman.

Then we're bound to win a flag.

Yes, something for something...not a #5 pick potential superstar midfielder for a good ordinary tall.

Firstly, I don't see what it has to do with you.

Secondly, just because it's a forum why do people feel they need to spell like 5 year olds.

Thirdly, maybe I would take more notice of you if your views in any discussion actually had some basis of logical and objective thought behind them.

Can't see too many potentials here but what about this one from left field:

We need another ruckman to replace Bally when he decides his time is up - or one of our backup ruckman get injured (ed: Doyle or LRT).

Why not offer McVeigh to Essendon in return for David Hille?

Essendon need pace and he would be happy to play with his brother. We need another ruckman and potential tall forward.

I know, I know, Mcveigh hasn't had much of a go but he may be keen to come back further down the track anyway.

I just think we need to be realistic - no point trading away someone like Fosdike/Ablett etc for a 3rd round draft pick. There are no guarantees in the draft.
Yeah, lets let Sheedy **** us over again. The Bombers brought in Matthew Allan as backup for Hille, but so far this year its been a role reversal. Hille has been so ineffective in the ruck that he was sent to play CHF - he failed that as well.

So yep, lets trade away our classy #5 pick who has shown so much potential and who could be a 10+ years player in our midfield for an unproven ruckman who hasnt done much better than Steven Doyle and cant get game time over Matthew Allan (who was traded away by the Blues).

I agree. It annoys me that some people think we can somehow magically trade for Judd (or other star players) with our unrequired players (plus picks). Why would eagles do that??

Well why not try it , for say 20 years, and if that system don't work, we could always go back to the one that is working so well now.
Better still why don't we get some blokes into the club who really know what they are doing to make up a completly different system of recruiting. IE Somone who can stand up to the current board. IE a Mathews

How do you know that what Roos (and Andrew Ireland) is doing now is not totally different to what has been tried the last 70 years? Hes still got a few years left to come through on his grand premiership plan.

Please, please, please don't respond to anything I post.

I put plenty of thought into everything I post. You don't seem to think about anything . . . ever. Trying to make sense of your drivel is just too frustrating.

So I take it your grand plan for this club to win its long-awaited premiership is to somehow get Leigh Matthews to coach the club despite him being under contract and the Swans already having a coach that seem more than able to do the job at hand, then trade Ben Mathews, Stephen Doyle and Jude Bolton for Chris Judd this off season despite him being under contract and the Eagles not wanting to let him go. Next we should then trade Jared Crouch for Ray Hall to be the Full Back for our dreams. Then with Matthews, Ray Hall and Judd in place, trade Goodes, Barry Hall and Kirk for as many 1st Round Picks as we can get our hands on and then delist the rest of the team so we can build the side around Chris Judd and Ray Hall with 36 untried rookies (most of whom will be midfielders from NSW), with Leigh Matthews in the drivers seat as coach.

                                Yep that should work
