How do you read my mind so ?
No I want the resident animators at the Sydney bloods to somhow morph Paul Rooses head into the Shape of Greg Mathews so that the players really get the **** scarred out of them and they can't play for **** over the next six weeks and then we will have an excuse to sack them all @ which point we can bring on the team of cloanes we have been developing from some of the cells of your dicarded forskin, Found in the waste paper basket in the Swans gym.
These have been budding into exuberant youth latley and perhapes with a little guidance and once a week compulsory reading of your and my posts on redand white on line, they could be taught to follow the comands of genius, and thereby present us with the long awaited answer to the Swans dilemma of being mediocre!

        reality check guys

        Hi Guys

I don't quite understand why you would think of giving up a Brownlow Medallist and the guy who has kicked the most goals for our team and is one of the best centre half forwards in the comp

Who ever has suggested this must have rocks in his head ?

That is the most ridiculous statement that I have heard

We need to acquire a decent ruckman and a strong fullback as a backup to schauble

That was the plan to get a big name player this year and not go for any more youth.

We have enough young players and on our day we have a midfield that matches up with any in the comp

        Regards Dazz

No one suggested it, only as a joke in response to the crap coming from the keyboard of the site clown footyhead, who more than likely would be willing to do it.

            Hi Guys

I guess I don't yet understand your joking around being new to this forum

            Seriously though

Who do the Swans need to get and possibly could get this year to make them a serious premiership threat

Why can't they get someone like Daniel Bradshaw ?

He is a seriously good talwent that is extremely versatile and can play both forward and back

He would be a welcome addition to roos plans and he is still quite young I believe.

Forget this nonsense about Judd or Ray Hall or Ottens or even recruiting Stafford again

That is just not going to wash

We need a strong defence and a solid KP player like Bradshaw would help us in achieving that goal

Did not Roos say that he was going to target a high profile player to help the Swans out ?

Who is available and who would we want and what can we give up ?

            Regards Dazz

I'd be willing to do most things for a premeirship, but since the odds of that happening are looking more and more slim, I would be willing to do anything for a laugh.

We should trade Hall and Goodes for draft picks. Even with Goodes' dodgy knees, we should still get at least 3 or 4 first round picks.

With McGlone, Willoughby and Schmidt, we'll probably then have at least half a dozen All Australians.

And trade Fosdike, Saddington, Ablett and Mathews for a second round pick, which we can use for a young ruckman.

Then we're bound to win a flag.
I hope you're not serious when you said that we would trade Hall.

With Goodes and his knees, it's too early to tell how that will affect him in future years.

Notwithstanding his injury woes, Saddington is also a player we should keep because he is a tall player that can play defence, in attack, and in the ruck. Such players are gold. Even if he is out of form, he can often find form by taking on a different role. No way is he only worth a second-round draft pick in trade.

Mathews has been on the Swans list for eight years. His disposal can be wayward but he can win the ball. Perhaps we shift him to a half-forward flank and let him win the ball stoppages there. Even if he does turn it over, turning over the ball in the F50 is less costly.

The second stringers are the ones you want to trade. The best trades are the kind of players we have in surplus. We exchange our surplus midfield-type players (Ablett, Fosdike) for other sides' surplus players.

I suspect that Roosie is playing a couple of these players to increase their value at trade time. A player like Ablett would be worth more at trade time if he was a regular senior player than he would if he was a fringe player.

                  Hi Guys

That does not answer my question about who we should get and who we can get from this years draft in order to try and win a premiership

How is it that the bloody lions have had the same team and coach for the last 3 years and have won 3 premierships while the swans have had the same team for 3 years and have not won 1 premiership not even a pre season grand final

That is pretty pathetic if you ask me

Oh well there is always next year I suppose.I have pretty much given up on this year

Fixter ? Injury prone and redundant with defensive midfielders like Kirk, Mathews, Crouch and co. Overrated from what I have seen.

O?Loughlin ? A forward line with O?Keefe, Hall, Goodes, Davis and Schneider/Buchanan is more than strong enough. O?Keefe has taken O?Loughlin?s role across half forward, and he?s just left playing a shallow role out of a pocket, which is a waste. May as well trade him while we can still get something.

Maxfield ? Offering at best short bursts, which is not good enough for a key midfielder, let alone a captain. Pretty much back to 2000 form, which is not a good thing.

Have you ever noticed that we usually play well or win when Micky plays? You don't trade blokes like him.

Fixter is a player with a touch of brilliance. Get him right and he is a real plus in the midfield. Now he is one that would bite us on the bum oif he went elsewhere. There is no way he is a defensive midfielder. More like agressive, offensive.

Maxfield is too old. No one will take him and he is too much of a respected clubman at his age to even think of trading him.
