In 3 years time who will we have left, O'loughlin, Ball, Williams, Nicks, Schauble, will more than likely be gone, Kirk, Hall, and Barry will all be on their last legs.

            "... are successful...." ???..... um when was that exactly ? 1933 ?
or do you mean when ever the team finishes above the bottom half of the rest of the competition ?
we do that a lot of the time, but that is not success !

if you think in terms of premierships since 1933 we have been the least succesful side in the comp .....

Yes the cupboard looks bare, but that's we were saying in 2000 when Plugger, Schwass, Kelly, Creswell and Dunkley were on their last legs.

But hey we managed to get ourselves into a preliminary final in 2004.

One would think in 3 years time the team will be built around Hall, Schuable, Goodes, Barry, Kennelly, Jude Bolton, Craig Bolton, Crouch, Matthews, Davis, Scheinder, Kirk, Doyle, James, Fosdike and Saddington.

With the new batch of youngsters such as Scheinder, Bevan, Thewlis, Malceski, Dempster, Powell, McVeigh, Willoughby, Schmidt, Erikson and that smokey all playing consistent footy.

And god knows who we may get via trading or the draft to complement the above.

Here's my useless post for the day!

DST, you been travelling back in time? You know something we dont know? Maybe you should head straight for the TAB, you'd get pretty good odds on that I reckon.

I dont post that much and dont know a lot of football stratagies, but after last years results "which I believe the swans were wonderful and very inspiring" I do believe we did play at the top of our ability. I was hoping in the trade period we would pick up a couple of vital recruits that we just seemed to be short of last year and make us go that one step closer this year, but alas it was not to be. We definitely do need something? I know we have the basis there, so so sick of finishing middle of the ladder.

I can't stand this simplistic view that is currently being plied on this board that trading a couple of middle level players and tanking a few seasons are going to get us the premiership we all want.

No, I was giving the thumbs down to all the people who constantly moan and groan on RWO after losses.

I liked your post mate. There should be more of them.
