How about the AFL recognise we've got a bum rap all year from the umps and for next week's game, they allocate the 3 umps they would have umpiring the GF if it were to be played next weekend.

I thought that was a better quarter by the umpires.

At least they appeared to be 'fairly' consistant.
However, I still think they are having WAY too much impact on the game. 20 free kicks in that quarter alone and 40 for the match!

That is an amazing amount of free kicks. If they let the tiny 'incidentals' go, we'd see a much better match I think.

Still Sydney don't get the incidentals and Fremantle do...

how about our team learns to hit targets? or not handball to a teammate under pressure? The clangers were 23-7 (or something like that) to the Swans in the 1Q, and it really doesnt look like our skill level has improved up to 3Q time now.

ps. the umpiring is a ****ing disgrace and Tim Gossage is the worst commentator on the face of this universe.

Looked like we were getting a good run for a minute there, then they give that free kick to Medhurst.

What a joke ... umpires learn the rules.

The tackle started above the knees, therefore legal. The fact that it went below the knees was because Medhurst attempted to break the tackle.

It was closer to holding the ball than it ever was to an illegal tackle.

Nah only having your captain go on the Footy Show to tip the bucket will work and we all know that the Swans don't get a look in on that show.

Though its about time Roos made a comment one way or the other because this can't keep happening. Sure the effort the boys put in was weak, but when every free kick stops you from getting on a run it hurts any chance of getting back in the match and also from my count the Dockers got at least 6 goals from free kicks that is about the amount we have had for the entire season

Imagine if Farmer had been suspended like he should have. His 5 goals less and we would have won anyway ...

It'd be nice to get a fair run from the umpires for a change.

As a positive, at least we played a bit better in the second half than we have recently. However still too many mistakes!!

I was so disheartened by all the free kicks that instead of crying I just had to laugh. I dread to think how the players must feel in this situation (coughBazzacough) when they start getting a little run on them to close the gap it's taken away from them.

I'm disappointed that Bazza let go in the final term, but why were the SHOCKERS supporters booing him? Barry handed them free kicks every time he went for the ball. They should have been cheering him!

I'd like to make a suggestion... Roos FINALLY speaks out about inconsistency from the umpires (without restraint) and we (RWO) get a kitty going and pay for his fine.

B lousy umpiring - our guys played really badly but somehow a free kick helps us along - it certainly did them. Wasn't Hayden Kennedy one of the umps!
I feel really down and lousy - can't believe we gave that game away. Out of the 8 on our behind and not looking good for the B five games to go.
Why couldn't we have played Hawthorn in such a disarray as they are now.
Why the hell haven't we got tall timber players who can run, bend, kick goals etc. We are way too small and almost laughable at the size of McVeigh trying to reach for a ball.

If Roos complains about umpires and scores a fine - what would Collis be thinking - a point against Roos.? Would love to see his comments.
How is Roos relationship with Collis now we are not doing so well.
I also hope Wallace gets one of the coaching jobs and he will be out of our way. Hope Eade does too.
