Yes, think it is a ripper idea. Breaks up the rounds and gives us something different to look at regarding jumpers etc.

As for us, I think we will be wearing the red V again, but this time with the red shorts and candy socks.

As for the Lions, they will be stepping out in their lovely original BB jumper by all accounts.

Adam Heuskes' classic uniform - skirt, high heels, pink feather boa.

Seriously, I think DST has it right.

Heritage week is a good idea even if we do get to see the awful Brisbane Bears guernsey again. I prefer the old Brisbane Bears "V" guernsey - simple but distinctive. I hope the Lions also emulate the form of the Brisbane Bears and lose convincingly this weekend.

The Swans will win the Heritage Round against the lions

I know u guys think that I am being funny but remember that it is the durable Jared Criuch's 150th game and I am sure that his team mates will say to themselves that they must win the game for him as well as for the team

        We will see what happens

        Regards Dazz

Hope you're right, but why would they want to win it for Crouch any more than they want to win any other milestone game for the recipient at the time?

150 consecutive games from debut is a rare milestone that has only occured once before in all of VFL/AFL history. Jared's going to set a new record if he plays another nine consecutive games after this one.

                  I like the TV ad.

I notice they say "When the Sydney Swans were born in 1982" which is technically true in a way of course, but no mention of the years prior to that....

I am thinking that mentioning South Melbourne would confuse the general Sydney population in anycase!!

I am guessing this week, the heritage round celebrates Sydney 1982 V Brisbane 1987.

The Barassi story they use is cool though. So him.

                    That add is a shocker.
Born in 1982, but Barassi coached in the early 90's

Confuse most Sydneysiders who only t turn up to boutique matches lol

I am very suprised they didn't go with the "When the Swans moved to Sydney" how hard it was etc angle....

I still like the ad though. Barassi along with Plugger would be the most revered AFL figure in Sydney.

Remember decimal $ was first and it was 1966

Point 2 My wife loves the ad .. just mentioned it 5 mins ago. She is a tough tough mkt...so maybe the money is well spent on the market it does not already have ...(which surely is the point of ad money for AFL anyhow?).

Exactly, as i recall, the game against port was Stueys 300th and we got hammered, correct me if i am wrong, so i don't think it makes too much difference.

That was Stuey's manufactured 300th game (Pre Season, H&A, Finals, State of Origin and International Rules) which qualified him for AFL life membership, so it does not count.

I don't think 50, 100, 150 are all that much of a motivator. But 200 & 300 are legimate big games for the club and massive motivation for the team.
