    Team this week

Roos said that he is uncertain as to whether Fosdike will play. He wants to give Davis who played 80 minutes in the reserves another game there this week as he saw what having underdone players against Freo did. It will be interesting to see if he retains Schneider.

Heath James was BOG in the ressies. Surely he MUST get a game finally. I would like to see at least 2 changes to the team, considering we hve lost 2 in a row, and Roos has stated that a large number of guys in the side cant train or run out a full game.

How stuffed is that,"most players are unable to train"Surely unless you are a hall or goodes if you dont train you dont play.Give the fit blokes a run as yeah its good to have exsperience out on the park but weve also seen just how much of a liability it can be playing so many un fit players.

With Brown out and Leppa doubtful, I would think that James may not be needed for structure. Particulary if they decide to go with one ruckman only and leave out Keating.

"Son, pick up no 3.If he gets a kick it is back to reserves for you"

Talk about blooding a youngster. The fab five (possibly the fab four if Aker is put out) will certainly give him a baptism of fire if he plays.

I am wondering if it is worth resting Williams as his injured foot has really negated his influence lately.

I don't really buy Roos' reasoning for playing Nick Davis in the reserves again.

We need to kick a winning score against the Lions as we won't get away with a 10 goal a side scrap.

Davis is all class and a forward line which has all of Davis, Hall, O'LOughlin and O'Keefe is going to cause the Lions problems.

Also, as said on another thread, why does Davis have to return in the reserves while Schneider (who is definitely not fit) comes straight back in.

                The logic is all out.

Surely he has to be rested this week. Did you see him on the bench in the last quarter rubbing his foot and grimacing?

Schneider and Buchanan both looked terribly unfit on the weekend.

I just wonder what benefit we get from unfit and injured players compared to young guys.

I think the logic is that Roosy got it completely wrong with Scheider, and having acknowledged his mistake, is taking the more sensible approach with first Schauble and then Davis coming back through the ressies.

Davis was brought back too early twice already this year. Horses for courses.

I just can't get over Nicky D getting 2 weeks in the reserves after Schneider and Monty coming straight back in.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

We could plant him in the Goal Square and while the lions are running rampant he just leans against the Goal Post until we can bomb it in long and he just marks turns kicks the goal then goes back to leaning on the GP!!!

Seriously though, if Goodes can keep playing with 2 dicky knees, surely Davis can play!!
