I've fantasised about it. the Swans footy drpartment has done it before (weren't ther 27 wrong decisions on BBB for 2003 sent to Gieschen?).

I have made some detailed notes on a few games this season. It was in the order of 35 soft decisions in favour of our opponent and 9 in our favour (including soft frees NOT paid to both teams)...17 incorrect decisions for our opponent and one in our favour (Leo Barry not facing the ball against Lloyd at the city end).

In other words if there is an umpire's adjudication to be made as to whether or which way a soft or 50/50 free should be awarded (or not awarded) you are FOUR times more likely to have the decision in your favour if you are playing against the Swans.

The INORRECT category speaks for itself. We have not had a single kick at goal this year resulting from an error by the umpire. Our opponents have had 11 goals scored and 6 almost certain goals saved by umpire errors....as you can see I am being conservative, we could all probably remember 6 decisions off the top of our heads when our forwards were not paid clear infringements.

I always hate to boo another team, but got right into it for Voss's dive!

The "Akers a Wanker" was great as well.

Is it just me or does a full SCG have better atmosphere than a full Stadium Australia? We should play our final matches at the SCG as it gives us a true home advantage as it suits our style of play better and cramps the other teams play.

The crowd did not stop booing Voss untill he had actually sat down. Easily one of the most revved up crowds I can remember - an absolute treat to be there. Getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

Don't be too hard on Vossie. I usually love watching the guy AND the LIONS over the past six or so years... It reminds me of the match-winner that Cressa conned against the roos a couple of years ago. Don't blame the players, it's the goddam inept and duped umpires that should get the rollicking!

I do apologise to all other RWOLiners and other SCG patrons who were around me or in the vicinity for the language I used when that dill umpire (30????) paid that free to Voss. He was the one who also paid the free in front of goal at the Noble stand end I think. I am at my wits end with these morons. Week in week out it is the same old story. Our backline must surely be the worst in the competition for the number of frees we give away in front of goal...and the other 15 backlines must be so much better than ours, cos I cant recall the last time we got half our goals from free kicks...

All I ask is if you see someone in red and white with a baseball bat or a bag of squidgy tomatoes rushing downstairs in the Noble Stand and who's about to jump the fence...restrain me PLEASE!!! I can't afford the fine!!!

I have to say Imo the S.C.G has a far greater atmosphere than Stadium Australia, the latter is just way to big,i still to this day wonder what might have been if we played the lions at the S.C.G in the finals last season.Im sure as a club that takes a long time to learn anything well do the same this year.Cant stand stadium Australia, reminds me of Waverley, great facilities, well positioned, absolutely stuff all atmosphere.

I find the problem at Stadium Australia is that it is too hard to join in the chants - there is way too much echo around the ground. (also not having one other person to join in a chant sitting near me does not help either - where is the best place to sit at Stadium Australia? Both view and cheering-wise?)

I agree with that, actually! Playing at the SCG would of given us a better advantage.

but not earnt the AFL as much money and it's all about the almighty $$$$.

But agian having extra seats for novice supporters isn't a bad thing. Some may become members in the next year if they liked the experience so much.

Well, I'm in Bay 119 behind the Superdome End goals with my Cheer Squad cohorts. Lots of chanting there.

Things are improving tenfold cheering-wise in the Cheer Squad. Some of the song songs we sang on Saturday were great. "Stand up if you love the Swans" went for a couple of minutes. You could even see Robbie and me doing it in the last quarter.

We just have to address the issue of numbers in the Cheer Squd (Cher!) Hopefully not that we are starting to become known by people like Myles Baron-Haye, we can look at maybe packaging a Cheer Squad membership as a special supporter membership deal catering to teenagers and loud familes wanting to try and help out supporting the team.

You obviously weren't at the Brisbane final then mate. I think it was Diego who said that after Williams' and Noggie's goals in the 3rd quarter the voice emminating from under the enclosed roof was completely deafening. Especially when this nutter dressed as a clown got them all going with the drum. At the SCG the drum just doesn't have the same effect.

But I know what you are saying. At the Melbourne and Pies games despite the crowd doing a lot of chanting etc, there wasn't the noise that we get at the SCG when the O'Reilly gets going.

Also the dill that cost us a sitter mark to Fosdike by getting in the way, and almost a goal, and then looked a goose when he slipped over whilst virtually standing still... must be Goldsphincter's younger brother.

And on the point about TS, having been to the World Cup Final last year, I can tell you it has PLENTY of atmosphere. Rather I would say that we are yet to fill it with 70,000 TRUE AFL supporters who know a goal from a crowd kick.... THAT will be the day

Yeah, I sat behind you guys in the prelim final, I think (great stuff). Anyway thats why I put for a good view as well - I am not a big fan of sitting too close to sideline (only time I like it is at the north sydney oval pre-season game). Though I was thinking I might get unreserved seating at Stad Aus next season if I can mix and match.

I would love to get a "Come on Sydney" chant going like the old "Come on Spirit" chant from the Northern Spirit days, which you should know well

                              Atmosphere at Telstra Stadium

I think that the atmosphere at Telstra Stadium is awesome when there's 50,000+ people there. At last year's games against Collingwood and Brisbane the crowd noise around where I was sitting (behind the goals at the northern end) was almost deafening at times. I guess we'll be able to test it in 3 weeks when we play Essendon there in front of what should be a huge crowd.

On the subject of TS, I hope that next year they move the Swans V Lions game out there as I reckon, given the right circumstances, it could pull 70,000+.

We do, but it kinda doesn't work that well we we are all seated. We've also tried "Come on you Reds/Bloods/Swans!" but can't decide which is best to sing.

Half the repetoire we sing are Northern Spirit favourites.Basically all the gang up the back of the Cheer Squad ae Spirit fans or have at least attended the odd match (ie Gemma).
I even got "Hello Hello" and "Run run, whereever ever you may be, caus we are the boys from the SCG" going on Saturday, much to the bemusement of Seth and Travis, the Newcastle supporters.

We maybe should contact the Irish supporters club to see if we can organise to have them sit behind us so they can help us with the singing against Essendon. It is starting to improve though. Am going to try and have a yarn to Myles and the mebership team to see if we can try and package the Cheer Squad as a limited edition membership so that people who are bored with sitting in silence in their set seats can come around and give the team a bit more support.

I can't wait till the Melbourne game at the Dome, and am flying down so as to be nice and relaxed by the time we hit the Colonial Hotel pre-match get-together. The singing and support will be the best yet. I'm positive of it. And am getti9ng chills just thinking about how loud we'll be.

Yeah, I know. I need to get a life BADLY. But football is my adrenalin rush. I couldn't sleep after the Lions game because I was so pumped.
