Heritage Jumpers

What are your thoughts on it?

I thought the jumpers were fabulous, and I would like to see us play more games in it. Maybe when we play in Melbourne we should throw that jersey on, with the hooped socks of course!

Loved it.

Didnt go with the black shorts last year but with red shorts they looked a million bucks.

I agree on using it when they play in Melbourne.

And QBE might like it as well as their logo stood out nice and bold but not in the way as some of the other heritage strips sponsors.

id like to see it stay for heritage round... otherwise it wont be the special thing every year.

Love them, but as you say without the black shorts. I reckon we should wear them for all away games.
It is about time the AFL introduced home and away kits, especially for times when there are likely to be clashes. They need to enforce it with the likes of the bombers and the pies.

Was having a look at the prices the online auction are getting. So far Crouch is up over the $1000, everyone else under. Bids close 13th August so will be interested to see what they're like then.

All players have one (unlike last year) Those who played you get the actual worn one's. Those who didn't play it's a clean one. And they're all signed. There is also a team signed one and a team and coach signed one.

Love, love, love the heritage jumpers! So much so I finally got to buy one!

I prefer the overall white much more than the red. It also gives a better reason why we are the swans, because Swans are white and have a red V on their beak (err kind of, well at least the black swans do - I would love to see a black guernsey utilising the idea of a black swan).

As well, would not the white jumper be easier and a little quicker to find team mates on the field? Just a thought... How is Sydneys form in white guernseys the past two years?

I have to say that I have been against using a South Melb type jumper at the Melb games.
Always thought of it as living in the past a bit too much.

But the more I think about it I think that it might be a big crowd pleaser down here and help significantly increase the membership.

In the end it's red & white and that is the most important thing.

How about the Essendon jumpers with the thin little line :lol
They looked as if they had all come 2nd place in a school sports day :lol

Where we watched the game we were all commenting how good the strip looked, yep, even the crazy socks...I think that should be our strip forever!

The point in the game where I started feeling confident was when I looked at the opposition and thought, 'Wait a minute... we're playing the Brisbane Bears!'

And, lo and behold, they proceeded to play like the Brisbane Bears.

I have to disagree - I think the overall red is a much better look, especially for the bigger players.

Why did they let the umps wear white? I know it was heritage but the lack of contrast was shocking.

I saw heritage jumpers at the AFL Shop at Knox City...the people there are Swans supporters so they often have reasonable stock of swans gear

However I think the jumpers said Heritage Round 2003 on them
Might be worth a phone call...depending on where you live

OK, they are on sale and the ones in the style of Saturday Night (different logos) are on sale from at Melbourne Office from today for $100 in sizes S-XXL.

They were on sale at the ground on Saturday Night and I even managed to pick up one

As for whether we should have it as our away jumper I say yes. At least use it as our clash strip and maybe once in a while use it in Melbourne. Looked great on Saturday Night
