    Prediction for next week

    Swans will destroy the Demons.

I feel tonight will really make our season, as well as providing an extra bit of incentive/passion, not that we should need it, but the players are only human, not machines.

We will see if I am right, but I predict something massive for the remainder of the season.

Just like the Kanga's did well for Glen Archers 250 games we'll have something even more important to play for next week.

Well, we need to win it, simple as that.

Yep - we'll pick off the teams that we should stand no chance against, and struggle against teams we should beat.

it's a trial, following this mob from Driver Ave....

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

It's a fair point actually because I can remember George Stone's little fella's death caused a lot of grief to the team. (Ironically the next game was against the Demons too and we were flat as a tack).

Wally will have a funeral throughout the week and the mourning process will simply mean, we neither train properly nor mentally prepare ourselves for the coming match.

I am not exptecting a good result this Saturday night.

Don't think we will beat Melbourne in Melbourne. The only game we we should win is Essendon. We will lose to Richmond at the MCG. Can't see us making the eight. I hope I am wrong.

If we make the finals - anything can happen!

No way can we win this week - too much mourning and grief to happen this week. The Swans will find it hard to pick it up for the next three games - I don't care how professional anyone says they are. They and everyone at the club is devastated completely. Listen to Roos and his thoughts - the team knew 1 minute or so after it happened - it had consequences on Saturday and will have for a while.

They are not training like they normally do - too much to cope with.

Fair go - we have a great team and we will have to look to next year - Roos is still the great coach we hoped for - just because we lose a game doesn't mean he isn't there are many good coaches and teams as oppositions.

Once we beat a team like St Kilda or Brisbane - looks what happens others can too.l

Our year will come and believe it will be 2005.
                        Love those Swans

If i was a player and close to wally I would consider sitting out the match this weekend.

Its hard to function after you loose someone close, some people are better than others in dealing with grief but this has hit the whole club. So it will be toughfor them to prepare for the game.

                            I am sad this morning.

I believe this week will be one of the most important games in the Swans history in Sydney due to the death of Wally Jackson but, most importantly, the mental barriers the players will have to overcome after a loss of this magnitude.

What players will have the mental application to sustain a four quarter effort and push through the grief of a tragic loss and shattering result the week before - I know Kirky will, ditto Crouch, ditto Hall, ditto O'Keefe ( as proven with the death of his brother ), but what about the others ?!

I remember back in 1998 the Saints were 54 points up half way through the third quarter against the Hawks and lost. The Saints were cruising to this stage of the season ( on top ), but ended up losing there last 6 out of nine games, were beaten by the Swans in the Qualifying Final ( only just though ) and slowly went downhill from that point onwards both on the field and with there administration. Alves was sacked because the players wanted him out, the players stopped believing in themselves, Watson turned out to be only a good blinking sports newsreader and only now have they just got back the momentum through a new playing list, coach and administration.

BIG game this week, that is why ALL Swans supporters should get to the game and support the club like they have never been supported before.

THEY NEED US FULLY, TOTALLY AND PASSIONATELY BEHIND THEM.

The players, coaches, medical staff and administration are only human and with a lot of support and passion, the players will be bouyed by this passion and bring home the victory against those pathetic, tweed coats with leather patches on there elbows, 4WD driving, snow bunnies and schnapps supporting Melbourne outfit.
