No need to mention Wally as I'm sure if the club want something they will advise us.

Sounds like she stole it from Before The Game actually (maybe someone in Melb should watch this show for ideas - cos we don't get it up here ).

Cher - probably best to check with Tony M as to a Wally message rather than waiting. I think it SHOULD be on the banner!

Been thinking about that myself. Been scared that having his name on the banner may actually be worse for the players, as several will I'm sure have pretty raw emotions even by next Saturday.

Not 100% in agreement that a tribute to Wally is indeed what Roos, the club Tony M, or indeed the players would want.

How about

There will be so many things reminding the players of Wally as they prepare for the game that I don't think his name on the banner will add any further stress.
