quote "Barry Hall back to bad ways" + Maxfield in trouble

See link on site "Barry Hall back to bad ways" ...

Also a link to Swans on tribunal notice says
Captain Stuart Maxfield was reported for striking Demon Brad Miller in the final quarter and key forward Barry Hall could come under video scrutiny for rough play after several clashes with his opponent Alistair Nicholson.

I missed the match ..are these two going to be playing next week?

I thought Phil "Rowdy" Read laid a heavy punch on Maxy's chin and if that goes unnoticed and Stewy gets done, then I will be upset.

Hmmm if either have a case to answer I will be very surprised, that being said, it all depends where the dart the tribunal throws will end up

Barry has nothing to do with the tribunal, it will be the umpires who review the tape from the game and decide if a charge will be laid. If a charge is laid then it will come down to the tribunal.

No use bleating on about the tribunal when it has nothing to do with them. IMHO it would be extremly surprising if anything comes from that though, all in the act of play while laying a legimate tackle.

I know at this stage Barry has nothing to do with the tribunal, I meant if he is cited to appear

The fact that they even considering looking at the Hall incident is purely a joke.

There wasn't even close to anything in it. At one stage, it looked like Hall was actually trying to get away from it all.

It was a legitimate tackle that the Melbourne player took offense to. They held each others guernseys, had a few words and moved on.

They are just trying to find anything they can get Barry on.

As for the Maxfield incident, if he has to front up then it shows what a joke football is becoming. Nothing in it.

That's what I was thinking. Read's hit looked to have more in it.

Here we go again - Trial By Media. The bastards aren't happy unless they can create a sensational headline - all too often it seems at the expense of the Swans.

Barry's tackle was a legitimate tackle that correctly did not even result in a free kick to Nicholson. If it wasn't near the fence and Nicholson didn't knock the chair over, the call would've been play on with not an eyebrow raised.

The incident that might raise a few eyebrows though, is the knee drop Nicholson laid on Hall some several seconds after Barry had taken a sliding mark in the 1st or 2nd qtr. If that's not unduly rough play, I'll go he.

                  That's what I reckon.

That boundary incident was soft. If Baz goes for that then whole system is a farce. It should never have even been dwelled upon.

But I'll wait for the outcome before I really freak out.

I'd rather slide into a chair than have my spine kneed.

Read's actions were the worst but apparently most are off camera. Hall would be cited for rough play if anything but unlikely to go.

I saw footage last night that clearly showed Read punch Maxfield in the face.

The loose spoil from Maxfield was just that. It hit his opponent in the chest, which may have hurt, but it was hardly a reckless act. I do have a bad feeling that they will ping him for a week.

Agree on Hall. The chair shouldn't have been there and Barry didn't go on with it when the Demons surrounded him.

Jeez, I got that wrong. Let hope sanity prevails at the tribunal (or is this way too much to ask?)
