yeah, we really need fixter in this week... medhurst and farmer are two dangerous, quick small forwards... crouchy on medhurst and fixter on farmer would go well

The thing with Medhurst is that he is a bloody strong player one on one. He is also very cunning in the way he uses his body. Whoever plays on him should not get in a one on one duel with him. Instead play off him and run in. Also watch for his arms. He will use them to try and create the illusion he is being held. He has always done it from junior footy, to Hale School and now AFL. A prime example was yesterday against Adelaide. Croad is ****....and Clive Waterhouse wont play as he had a shocker for Claremont this week. Up forward Swans should watch out for Hasleby running forward. And also wouldnt be suprised if the planted Sandilands up forward. Goodes on Pavlich would be ideal. Finally Headland and Bell need to be dragged down back where they cant do any damage, as Adelaide did yesterday!
Bring it on only 5 sleeps to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

these two could nullify each other completely, very similar player IMO, the only difference is that i dont think pavlich can play in the ruck...

        cant wait for that duel

also, i really like medhurst's game, he has huge potential

I think Freo's height will cause us the most problems. I hope we can get at least Schauble back.

I'll be there! Listen for a load booing at the exact moment a Freo player drops the ball to take a set shot. That's the best time to throw them off with a loud boo IMHO. The trickier manoeuvre is the call of "chewy on your boot" which needs to be yelled earlier during the run up.

I don't care what people tell you, it makes a difference!

I hope to get over there one day. Then I'll bring a few flags over and we can use up our Cheer Squad allocation.

If you ever want to sit with other Swans supporters, contact the office here in Sydney. They will forward the tix back to WA, or anywhere.

Sydney siders - Any radio coverage for the game? More than likely I'll be driving up to the coast to watch my brother in law in the Forster-Tuncurry Ironman. Otherwise I'll have to try and dominate the telly at a friend of a friend's house or be very unpopular and leave late.....

As Northern Spirit are playing Parra Power on Saturday at exactly the same time, I'll actually not able to to watch the match until I get it on the video later in the nite/weekend.

Pavlich is more of a key position type player. I doubt whether he has the run with ability to go with Goodes. Besides match ups are an Eade era game plan. Too much is made of match ups.
Backs have always played on forwards and coaches rotate players every few minutes.

Mostly each side has a tagger or 2 to run with the best midfielders. I would suggest it will be more the opposition who will be trying to tag our running players.

                          Nice for a change.

Actually Pavlich trained with the midfield core this pre-season with the plan to rotate him and Hedland through half foward line and as onballers, he is there best kick and is as quick as Goodes

Connolly has stated he would use Pavlich as a Key position player if he had too ala last week(no fowards).
