We aren't going to get a first round pick for Jude and Nic together and as a club we certainly aren't going to trade both at the same time. Its going to be one or the other and not both.
So let me get this right

With all the feel good supporters on here and the bleeding hearts who don't want to "hurt" the feelings of any of the players , I'm getting the feeling that everything is just fine at the Swannies... We mustn't trade jude or Fossie, the only player we should delist is warfe , we should except the team managment cos things really are improving even though we can't see it on the score boards. lets just keep on keeping on , and a premiership is just a year or two around the corner !!
Well I'm sorry kids , I just don't buy it.
This team needs at least 15- 20 percent improvment just to be a real threat this year, factor in the excepted fact that the standard of the leaugue improves evey year, and you could say that the Swans may well be needing an extra 30 + percent improvment within the next 2 year, just to be in contention.
Where's the improvment comming from ?
And don't give me that crap about it all being down to injuries....." if we get all our injured players back we could be ..... anything....." sure and if port Adelaide had their injured players back, then they would aready have won the flag !
The fact is the Swans need at least 1 maybe 2 or even 3 more genuine stars to compete with the likes of Ports list, Brisbanes list, St-kildas list and even Geelongs , in the big one at the MCG. These kinds of stars are not currently on our injury list.
And please spare me the "anything can happen in the finals" line, cos even though I would love it to, and even though it could.... maybe... happen, at this stage, if it deos we would have lucked a premeirship, as oppossed to built a team to go and "smash and grab" one.
I prefer the later, it means you have a shot at doin it a few times in a decade.
Where are the Stars going to come from if we don't cut some trade bait out of the list ? How do we know what the team is capable of if we don't even play the kids who have been performing exceptionally well in the reserves. Who will bear the brunt if Roos is unsuccessful ?
Come on people how about a bit of blood lust ? It's just the same old live in hope culture, don't say anything to upset the players crapedy crap crap !
Well i recon this team needs some upsetting, who knows if somone upsetts the apple cart maybe a few champion apples may be found way down the bottom where no one was lookin !
why do u follow the swans u just winge non stop about them!!Theres not much left to sayComment

I am surprised FH doesn't follow the doggies, could have field day there."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

Very good young footballer named Matthew Bate playing for Eastern Ranges. CHF who has kicked 4 and 6 in the last 2 games. Bottom age player who did not play in Aust Championship.
Been best last 2 games and as an Under 16 was best both times in the 2003 finals for ER. Very strong, hard, run through player who plays equally well as CHB. Very smart thinker who has that "instinctive" element to his game.
He played for Croydon Juniors where I was involved and just dominated under age footy in the ruck and CHB. To play U18 as a 15 Y.O is no mean feat. Damian Cupido, also from Croydon, also played as a 15 y.o and was drafted.
Even if he was not a carnival player there are bound to be clubs with their eye on him. See how he goes come draft time.Comment

Hmm lets see, Barry Hall misses a match, Ball/Doyle is injured.Where are we going to find replacements for these.
Its not that I dont think we need another key forward at all, I just think its not as high a priority as a key backman, ruckman and star midfielder. We havent had to see how our forward line functions with Hall, but we've seen that our backline is no where near as solid without Schauble.
CHB before CHF. I still dont understand why you think we need a key forward before anything else.Comment

Yes you are correct fosdike is from south australia so i cant see him coming to melbourne.
Every1 is of course going to back there fave playas to stay at the club as i would crouch but seriously sometimes a move for the player is better off for there game.
I trust roosy to make the correct decision wateva that may b!!OUR EDGE IS REGComment

It goes without saying that our forward line would be weaker without Hall but, for a limited period at least, you'd think that O'Loughlin, Doyle, Davis, Nicksy and O'Keefe could function together to provide a variety of marking targets, while fringers like James and LRT might also come into contention.Comment

The same place we find replacements for when Schauble, Goodes, Davis and Williams get injured - our reserves.

Has Jude Bolton been re-signed yet?
May want to return home, there's an unsubstantiated rumour on some other boards that this deal is being worked out:
Essendon Give Swans Mark McVeigh and 1st round draft pick.
Swans give essendon Jude Bolton.Time to make EFC a meritocracy, not a mediocracyComment

FWIW I don't think Bolton will be going anywhere.Comment

I think he could be persuaded seeing as the urge is always there in most players to return home.
But the deal proposed is basically Jude Bolton for our 1st round Pick, with Mcveigh thrown in for free considering he supposedly wants to go home anyway!Time to make EFC a meritocracy, not a mediocracyComment
