Not sure who we need to trade but there is no doubt that the Swans need a change in personnel to take that extra step. They badly need height and a more creative midfielder. We have a lot of blokes who play with as much heart as you could ask for but it's not always that pretty to watch. All the creativity and run is coming from that superb running back line we have developed. I would like to think that Jude Bolton is one of the players we could hanb on to but it would depend on who was available and what the club trading that player was looking for themselves.

With 3 or 4 new coaches coming along next season, all of whom are promising clearouts, there should be plenty of players available. Sure some of them will be duds but there could be a real bargain player in there who could be picked up without too much having to be given away from our list.

I do think that someone like Ottens would be a top pick up for the Swans but find it very unlikely that Terry Wallace would want to move him along.

I also think that it's good to chat about this kind of stuff. It doesn't mean you don't support your team, just that you like to think about ways it could improve because you want them to win. It's not disloyal to the players we have, who are trying their hardest and doing very well, it's more a reflection that the balance of the list is not right and an analysis of what could be done to improve that balance.
Today's a draft of your epitaph

Bolton at a different club surrounded by other good and very good midfielders with a good coach could well excel.
Bolton at our club on a very high salary with the expectation which goes with it to be the no 1 midfielder may well never reach his potential.
This is why a trade with Essendon (as long as we get real value), could be in everybodies interest.
      Do it Jude.
trading jude bolton would be the stupidiest thing this club could do just about.... we would be cursing the club forever in a few years time!!!

just my opinion ..... and not cos i dont want to trade players...but he is going to get better and better!
