Personally I read the SMH online as trying to read it on public transport is nearly impossible.

Agree Brycey. For all the supposed better journalism in the SMH, I do not buy the paper because it is just unfathomably large and cumbersome. Reading it in a packed train, forget it!!!!

If they made the Herald the same size as the Terror, I'd probably buy it.

That's the way you get a bit of extra space on a packed train - free your arms to turn the page in the SMH and people move away!

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

          Good Heavens , Man !!

You are an AFL follower from Sydney - which means you are a cut above reading the Terrorgraph and should start buying the Australian !

Of course you then have a real newspaper the Fin Review and it does come in the smaller (terror) size.

There is a nack to folding the Herald on the train. Once you've got it sorted it's actually quite easy. It also looks impressive to fellow passengers! heh heh

Of course, if you fold it and then do the cryptic crossword it looks even more impressive, but you have to be sure you're going to know some answers (or be able to make some up) so as not to spoil the illusion.
