Yes, unfortunately I think Kossie is no chance of leaving the Saints. If they did stall in negotiations Im sure his best mate Riewoldt would push things along for him to stay. I think the Saints would laugh at us if we offered Fozz as a trade.

If they're such good mates, I dont have a problem taking on Riewoldt as well, just so they can stay together.

Well, as someone else pointed out before, sometimes you just have to make sacrifices to get the good players!

what happened to the KP forward you were arguing so strongly for?

              That too.

Because, fantastic as Leo is at playing on the likes of Gehrig, Neitz and Lloyd while giving away inches and kilos to them, it robs the team of his more attacking instincts
Yes Leo is better attacking, so while LRT etc develop if NEEDED he can play tall.

Because Schauble has a history of soft tissue injuries
So James can fill in for him while he is injured, why else have James?

Because Goodes is wasted as a key position backman when he could be playing on a wing or as a ruck rover
That is also true but again, if the need is high we can play him there.

Because we have more coverage in the reserves for the midfield and more midfielders developing in the nursery

Because if we can draft another quality 17yo midfielder or two in this year's draft they could well be ready to start making a contribution in 2006 or 7, queuing up behind Willoughby, Schmidt, McVeigh etc. If we draft a quality 17yo KPP we would probably have to wait an extra two years or so for them to make a meaningful contribution.
I didn't advocate drafting more midfielders. In two years I see the need for a KP forward.Barry won't be around forever.

SOLD !!!!!!!! One advantage for us is that he is a NSW boy

1st and 2nd pick and Saddington is way over the market for him

He's a good player but nowhere near the class of Rieweldt, injury prone and highly over rated in my view
