Fair enough. But Lockett and Hall were considered outsiders to many at St Kilda too. Just have a look at how lowly the Saints supporters consider Barry even now.

After all the effort Eddie went to, to entice him back to Melbourne when he went AWOL a few years ago, and the fact he is one of the few pies who can win a game, I can't see them letting him go.

Not without a major fight, anyway.

Dont believe it will happen anyway. Is he out of contract??
As I have stated before, IF Hall was to get injured, suspended or miss a game/s for a variety of reasons, the next tallest forward we have is O'Loughlin who, unfortunately, is not tall or strong enough for a key forward position.

I don't believe we would get Tarrant either, as rumours about Tarrant going to Essendon, Carlton etc etc have been going around for years. But, saying we have enough good forwards is ludicrous and he would be a very handy addition at Full Foward - not to mention a great foil to Hall.

If you subscribe to the theory that we have a midfield capable of growing into one of the best (McVeigh, Schneider, Davis becoming regulars), then going after a KPP is sound.

I dont think we have a good enough midfield to do that, but if Tarrant wants to get away from Melbourne, we'd be crazy not to take him.

evidently he hates being in the spotlight in Melbourne and is meant to be friendly with Davis. I think he would be a gun in a good side which is well coached. You can never have enough forwards of quality.

I wouldn't be surprised if someday he headed to Brisbane, considering his friendship with Mal Michael, and his 'situation' in Melbourne.

I think most of the player group at C'Wood will throw a party when Buckley takes his sour inflated head elsewhere.

Then if he is halting the development of the younger players, why is he held with such high esteem at the pies?

Yeah he is a champion player...

LOL. Whenever that is. Remember, he left the Lions to get a flag with the Pies, so he might be there for a while yet!

the word is that Mal Michael's wife is fed up with the heat in Brisbane and wants to return to Melbourne.

Well I read somewhere that his leadership skills are crap and therefore not helping the younger players at all.

Anyway he is a knob regardless..
