I had positive thoughts last time we played Richmond! lol
Hopefully they are in the right frame of mind....
On another positive note it is supposed to be a fine and sunny day on Saturday.
Top Temp = 19. (Better than a few weeks ago).
This should put us on a better footing than the last time we played the Tiges.
And Richo was fresh and fit in his first game back, he has not done much since then.Comment

Weather is beautiful in Melbourne this week. A loss can still mean missing finals. How sus would it be if the Tiger resurrect themselves this week after losing about 13 on the trot? Just in time to go out on a good note but still get the priority pick.LIFE GOES ONComment

I reckon he has done amazingly well considering he is easy pickings for the 3 defenders he attracts but still manages to kick medium bags of goals every week.
The Tigers midfield go to him 90% of the time and the delivery is so average even when he breaks the hold of 3 defenders, he has a humiliating Sherrin chase to the boundary.
I think the Tigers will be easily exposed again this week because Roosy will have the answers, but I still think Richo is playing with good form.
He'd be kicking 10 a week at Brisbane or St Kilda. The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

Not sure I agree with the later part of that statement.

agreed hes a talent and an awesome player. Sometimes kicks poorly but he is the richmond forward line... draws every defender and is always under pressure!!Theres not much left to sayComment

Anything is possible in sport - especially a two-horse race.
Swans might come up flat, Tigers come out pumped and we get rolled.
But given that any outcome is possible ranging from a 120 point win to Sydney to a 120 point defeat, Richo kicking 12 goals to Richo not getting a kick, etc, etc - would have thought that all this speculation would be moot and a complete waste of time.Comment

well lets close the whole forum ... no point discussing football because we can only speculate on everything just about! :PLast edited by swansrule100; 25 August 2004, 03:08 PM.Theres not much left to sayComment

lol, Yes, I think we can say for sure, in the words of Roy and HG, that thyis will be a game of 2 halves (or four quarters).Comment

I worry about comments like Richo not being in form.
Before the Richmond game, some people were laughing at Richo and saying they hope he plays as he's useless...
Before the first Essendon game, some people were saying they hoped Jason Johnson played as he would be so non match fit he'd be a liability...
Before the Fremantle game, some people said that they were please Farmer was playing and not suspended as he was hopeless and would upset the Freo team balance...
etc etc...
Let's be careful how we comment on opposing team players...Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

One of the big plusses for us this week is that there's no Kane Johnson - he provides Richmond with quality delivery from the midfield that Richo so desperately requires.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
