Sadly no. To be nominated, a player must have played less than about 10 games at the start of the season in which the player is nominated. Because McVeigh has played about 20 games, he cannot be nominated next year.

Bevan has become my new hero what with Kel gone. Every night I watch replays(wins only) before I go to sleep and the more I watch the more I see how much he does in a game as regard the one percenters.
I wish I could watch the up and coming players such as Davis and Schmidt etc.
From my limited perspective I love Bevan's and Fixter's courage.(Plus I am short so I like being able to conduct a comfortable conversation with these blokes at the functions I can get to)

agree. IMO has shown a bit in the last couple games particularly.

I'd suggest next year will be another of learning. Is definitley one who could make his mark next year.

Earlier in the year I was very down on Hunty making a career in the AFL, but the last few weeks seeing him moved from the forward line to the bakline, I must say I'm impressed. IMO he was very much like Leo Barry, a handy forward when he actually marked the ball.

This year when playing forward it seemed he spoilled more than he marked. Playing down back he seems to know when to mark and when to spoil. Still a bit light at 75kg but only 20 yrs old he may be one to watch for a KPP as a back man. Still too soon to tell, but a better showing for the second half of the season than the first
