Wishful thinking. As much as I'd love it to sell out, I don't think anyone's gonna miss out on a ticket.

BTW, the ticketek office in Angel Place in the Sydney is not widely known about and there was only one person in front of me there today at lunchtime.

If anyone DID get tickets from an outlet where memberships were not being checked, you should report it to the appropriate authority. (The AFL??). It's important that members receive the benefits they deserve for putting their hard-earned out there every year and supporting the Swannies.

At Revesby Worker's Club - they were checking if you were members and also when you put the phone number, etc - it was a double verfication on ticketek's website - maybe the AFL passed along the required info just in case - not 100% sure though.

Someone definitely was questioned if they were a Swans member when I left, but they weren't buying Swans tickets, so it didn't apply to them <g>

According to info on the ticketek webiste, whilst Swans and AFL (Swans preferred) members had a limit of 4 tickets per membership on (priority day) Monday, West Coast members could buy unlimited tickets......WHY ?

Castle Hill Ticketek at Baulkham Hills council area - no check on membership - had my cards and showed them but no check. But she did have a man before me who bought swans tickets with his membership but took ages and she was very patient with him. She said he sometimes takes an hour - doesn't stop talking.

Have bought our tickets plus phoned club for my Redback tickets.

Very pleased for the extra tickets I got for five young people to enjoy our game.

Didn't want to risk internet tomorrow and found only a short queue at Castle Hill. Couldn't get on the phone though.
                  Love those Swans

I did it the easy way - phoned the Melb office and gave them my CC number, tickets will be mailed out tomorrow.

No-one checked my membership card at Parra Leagues. I arrived at 8 o'clock and was 6th in line; by the time I left the queue was stretching from the Ticketek all the way out the door and into the car park.

Rang up booked my tickets and have to go in tomorrow to pay for them so they can be sent to me in the mail. Really stupid set up for those without credit cards on their person when booking.

Not many WCE supporters are going to be able to travel - so if a WCE member is able to take 6 mates, why would the AFL want to stop him or her?

The 4 ticket thing is about protecting the best seats - I am told the Swans and AFL got many complaints from Swans members unhappy about not even being able to get seats near their season seats.

Took a good 5 hours to finally get through on the phone today (granted, it was pretty on and off), but thankfully we got tickets close to where we usually sit (about four rows over, and we're still only four rows from the front) so I'm in good spirits atm. Bring on Saturday night!
