I know most here will sing a resounding NO, but he didn't have to play a game in the reserves last time. Did he?

Yeah, but it seems the Match Committee have learnt their lesson the hard way this year, at least finally realising that guys, unless absolutely essential to the balance of the side, need to come back via reserves - Schauble, Davis (2nd time), Schneider (2nd time).

I'd rather have answered a simple no, than no bloody way. Still believe he is in our top 22.

Last week he was listed as being out for another 4 or so weeks - so on that basis alone you'd have to think it highly unlikely!

Good on you, Bart. I'm with you.

Although everyone else on the Forum is about to get out their pitchforks and torches and come after us, such is the (mystifying) level of hatred that Fossie attracts.

            Too risky for a final.

I don't think anyone deserves to get dropped. In addition McVeigh would come in before him.

I think the answer is no purely due to match fitness. Otherwise I'm almost certain he would be picked.

Yep, that's what I reckon too.

The beauty of the "top 22" is that it is always hypothetical because a number of players are always bound to be injured. As such, at any given time, it is highly probable that if he was fit he would slot into the "top 22" that were available at the time.

Having said that, however, if he is fit at the moment, although from what I've just said you might think I believe he should come back in, I would say that in a final it is far too much risk for him to play without a run or two in the ressies.

Don't think he should based on fitness - you can't afford to have more than a couple unable to run out a full game. Even moreso against WCE with their midfield.

Who would he replace if he came into the side though? IMHO there's nobody you could leave out to make way for Fossie on the basis of form, and Fossie is most definitely not a gun that you would bring back in under any circumstances.

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

                        I Agree.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
