    We've all been DUPED!

Paul Roos said there were no stars in this team! He said we were just "workmanlike" and had to work together as a team.

Now three of them get named as All-Australian!! Thats means we have the equal second highest representation of players in the AA side of all the clubs! And then you have to thrown the other two recent AA members and the Brownlow medalist!

I want them all traded... no... delisted immediately! It'll give us a bad name. People on RWO wont know what to talk about

In all seriousness: Congratulations lads!! To BBBH, Leapin and Captain, well done!! It is just reward for the tremendous effort all three of you have put in over the last two years. And it is a fitting reward for the whole team who have worked so well together to get us to where we are.

PS - If any of you do read this forum, I suggest you listen to the opinion of the experts who picked the official team, rather than some of the "experts" who have been posting on here

but I would still consider Barry and Kirk to be very consistent workmanlike players. Remember many stars missed out.

Yeah, big congrats to Bazza, Leaping Leo and Kirky.

Even this year I've read people saying that the Swans have no stars or champions apart from some mentioning Hall or Goodes. What rubbish. I was also gobsmacked by the emotional overeaction of some people on RWO after the awful loss to North and the level of criticism of the team.

This Friday night that same team has an opportunity to prove that it is even better than it was last year. Go you Swannies!

We better remind Bazza not to hurt Tadhg in the IR games!!

At least four Swans will be playing in Dublin, maybe more depending on who the top-up players are. Who might get added?

Not Goodesy this year or Willo or Micky.
B2 would be good at the game I think (tall and mobile).
        Crouch for his speed.
Bucky (again for speed). Schneids isn't fit enough I think.

many players such as Judd are pulling out so they will need plenty of fill-ins.

Well he was right in that call, as no-one from the Swans has had two and three blinding years in a row to be labelled a star. Even wouldn't label Goodes a star cause he didn't back up his year from last, however through no fault of his own, so the jury is still out on him.

Hall and Barry would be pushing star status, as would Kirk, followed by Goodes and Williams deserves an honourable mention.

C'mon. Goodes is a star and a champion without any question of a doubt.

I think to be a star you have to be consistent but also have game-turning qualities.

yeah goodes is a gun and a hero in my books especially playing on 2 bung knees which would send many players on rehabilitation sessions for a few weeks/months...there is no doubt he has courage!!!

however i reckon roosy says that because our game plan is all about working together as a team and not "kick it to richo", kidn of a pre-emptive strike against the potential footballer's blossoming ego

As much as I love the guy and all his qualities as a footballer, he is not a star and far from a champion...yet.

One good year doesn't make a star / champion

Goodes has had consistently good years ever since winning the Norwich Rising Star Award in 1999. This year he has been hampered by injuries to BOTH knees, yet he has still played in EVERY single game. If that, along with his Brownlow, doesn't make him a champion and a star, I don't know what will.

He has had good solid years in between his brownlow year, however apart from his brownlow year, they havent been of a high enough standard to qualify him as a star / champion. Im not saying he has to win the brownlow every year, but he has to reach a consistently high level, which he hasnt. Also just because he played injured this year before, doesnt make him a champion, but I admire him for it, it is brave.
The word champion gets bandied about far too easy these days, and this is just another case.

                            What I expected!!

We have five different players get picked in the official "best team" and still we get "they are not stars". Sure they may not be the very best players ever to play the game, but every single side would pick every one of them in a heartbeat (well maybe not BBBH )!

Its time we celebrated the little things in life folks. Congrats to all of the players, and especially the three on stage last night. You are all stars, and you've made me a very proud Swans supporter this year and last

Goodes is a very very good player, with periods of sheer excellence, but is not a champion yet. Has the potential to become one.
